> Is your argument for every post goign to be “well if you don’t like XYZ then you won’t last long anyway”?

No, only when players ignore basic rules of how to succeed in EVE and display a mindset that is incompatible with long-term enjoyment of the game. And the simple fact here is that this is the scenario you describe: a player who isn’t going to succeed in EVE subscribes and eventually quits. The reason for their quitting is irrelevant because it was almost certainly going to happen. So making gameplay changes in a desperate attempt to keep subscribers like this is a poor decision. It compromises the game’s principles and is unlikely to be very effective in the long run.

You won’t get that from me, sorry. You’ll have to keep believing whatever it is that you want to believe about me…

> [@Lucas\_Kell](#):
>
> You seem to care a lot about what people think, which is why you keep banging on about the imaginary reputation you think you have.

I explained this to you multiple times in other threads already and you keep not getting it. I do care that people actually interested in understanding things may have to deal with disinformation or outright lies spread by others, hence my hate for utterly dishonest people in general. I **don’t** care at all what people like you think or want to believe. Got it now or not yet?

> [@Lucas\_Kell](#):
>
> That “I’m laughing at you for saying that thing I disagree with” argument has never really worked, not sure why you suddenly think it’s a killing blow.

It’s not an argument, I’m not trying to prove anything with it. And that’s not why I’m laughing at you either. Read again the very thing I said that you quoted when you replied, to see why it is exactly that I’m laughing at you and will keep laughing in the foreseeable future.

> [@Lucas\_Kell](#):
>
> Nope, I’ve not noticed. Several things you’ve said and the way you’ve responded have highlighted the anger still prevalent there.

LOL. Such as? What have I said that would indicate I’m angry about anything other than Dracvlad lying about me again and again?

Damn. I was hoping nobody would notice, but sage @Lucas_Kell did. I hereby have no choice but to confirm that all that evidence proves what he just said about me there.

Not only that, but if you look at my KB, even though I don’t post my kills, you’ll still see some haulers and miners being ganked there, which clearly show my true nature.

I was hoping nobody would notice, but now that the cat is out of the bag, I guess I have no choice but admit I’m a ganker pretending to be AG…

> [@Lucas\_Kell](#):
>
> Oh no, I totally get you trying to make up reasons to justify your anger issues.

Man, you definitely have serious comprehension issues. That’s not what I was referring to in the text you quoted from me to reply that.

And again, which “anger issues” other than Dracvlad lying about me again and again are you talking about exactly? Where exactly do you see any anger from me other than that?

> [@Lucas\_Kell](#):
>
> I know why you’re “laughing”, it’s because you get shockingly upset and outraged when people say mean things about you on the internet and you think that if you tell me you’re going to laugh at me that I will get equally upset by it.

🤣 🤣

You think it’s me who has to prove he’s lying? Even after I’ve proven it many times in other threads where he did exactly the same he just did here, with actual logs, and not a single time has he provided **any** evidence whatsoever of his claims about me? Really?

All three kills were final blows by my alt.

The one where I did not get the bounty I had the final blow and most damage and the smart bomber was showing in his pod. So I am pretty sure that he was a criminal.

Another I had the lowest damage but the final blow and I got the bounty, the smartbomber was still in his ship and I am not sure if he was a criminal at that point. It was another gank.

The third one was just me and Concord and I had final blow, I got the bounty.

All three of the characters have a bounty pot.

So explain that? As I said another AG player told me that if a criminal was on the kill mail then the bounty was not paid, he had a kill like me that had no bounty and he said that to me. I took that on face value and assumed that this was deliberate by CCP. It may be a bug. But it is definitely interesting. And by the way gankers normally are way ahead of AG in terms of mechanics as they have so many alts they can normally test the crap out of stuff more than we can.

By the way Dom Arkaral used to mindlessly keep telling me I was lying like this when I offered an opinion, was hilarious and seriously odd. 😂 And just like you he defined how people saw him on the forums and in game, he defined himself by it.

You are so alike you could even be twins.

> And that was the crux of the problem, awoxing was predominantly harmful to newer players because anyone with experience simply wouldn’t let newbies join and had fairly tight controls when they did. That meant that newbies were funnelled towards corps that had no ability to protect them, which was also the prime target of awoxers.

Well, no. When Experienced players in good, experienced corps were funneling new players into other corps, those corps were designed to accept and support new players.

The problem wasnt that New players were unable to join good corps and when they heard about good corps, they were instead being funneled into bad corps. The problem was, and still is, there are a ton of bad corps that just spam new players each and every day.

Like this guy.

[https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/eay2tg/how\_do\_i\_stop\_the\_incompetent\_and\_proud\_evemails/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/eay2tg/how_do_i_stop_the_incompetent_and_proud_evemails/)

Awoxing was a great way to weed out the CEO and force the leader to close down their crappy, stupid corps, and save the new players who were trapped inside them and didnt know any better. And people who did this, were always sure to send out a mass evemail to everyone in corp explaining why this was a bad corp, and with proof.

Now with Wardecs being only against corps with structures, this keeps becoming more and more relevant.

New players were almost never intentionally the target of awoxes, because a new player with a 10k ship has nothing, and its pointless to awox them. Im certain there were more people awoxing bad CEOs in decadant ships, than there were experienced players inviting new players just to shoot them. it makes more sense for an alt to shoot and destroy a 5 billion isk Golem, than it does for a CEO to shoot a 10k Isk Tristan.

You may certainly see it that way, but to my eyes, that post was @Knowledgeminer venting about people who steadfastly _refuse_ to learn methods for avoiding ganks that already exist in-game. That doesn’t mean he’s against anti-ganking, it means there are limits on the kind of behavior he’s willing to put up with.

Hell, you could compare that to [Nidia Masters calling out Horde players for using jump gates without authorization](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/cpxkes/horde_gate_behavior/), or Goonswarm’s policy of warning players who refuse to fit their ships correctly, then [awoxing those players](https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/d2dyh6/delve_spod_genocide_story_anyone/ezu9iyg/) if they consistently refuse to follow instructions. I dunno. It’s good that you can enjoy yourself doing ganks, but I don’t really think it’s my cup of tea. I think I might try getting involved with the RP events crowd more, EvE’s lore is what drew me to this game in the first place.

I checked [your Zkill](https://zkillboard.com/character/1103811350/); would I be correct in presuming that those were war targets or suspect flagged ships? No one I’ve ever heard of suicide-ganks miners while [flying a Loki](https://zkillboard.com/kill/80613418/).

You know what highsec _really_ needs? Not ultra-lucrative content, no. That flies in the face of increased profit coming with increased risk.

What highsec need is _interesting_ content. Be it PvE or PvP, whatever someone chooses to do in highsec shouldn’t be monotonous, boring, or drudgery. All forms of content in this game ought to be engaging and fun, regardless of how much ISK you get out of it.

So you take it as a personal affront and as damage to your reputation if people have a different opinion to you. This is quite frankly ridiculous looney tune times. Mate you need to go find another hobby if you feel this way.

I think its hypocritical to say to someone that they are taking a video game too seriously, when you yourself are responding with huge walls of texts over multiple paragraphs and replies. I mean, this game is clearly important enough for you to spend a lot of time, and a lot of words, going back and forth.

And just for the record, i care about this game, and i care about you too, which is why i will gladly go back and forth with anyone for however long it takes and however long i have, because i care about other people. Im a nice guy, you see.

> They do now. Before the changes they didn’t. You saying “well people should have played differently” doesn’t change how people actually played. Bearing in mind even most veterans only play EVE now because they feel like they’ve committed to much to just moonwalk away,

Okay, I must call out BS on this one.

I know for a fact that the first corp that i joined on this character, and also the only one, was pretty much headed by a new and inexperienced player, and everyone who joined was pretty much inexperienced and new. I was probably the 15th player to join, but i was brand new too, and i just accepted the invite from the first guy that came my way.

This was back in 2013.

My corp was brand new, made of brand new people. We stayed. We still exist. I still exist. I have never joined another corp on this toon, for 7 years. And I will stay in this corp until I get kicked for inactivity, which should be any time soon.

> Solonius Rex (F0RCED ENTRY) lost their Hurricane in Dodixie (Sinq Laison) Total Value: 56,375,901.67 ISK

This was one of my first lossmails, and an expensive one, one month after i started playing, from a wardec that I had no idea was going on, against an enemy that I had no idea how to fight. I was new, i had no idea what was going on, I had zero committed other than like a month or two paid sub time, and i still stayed and have stayed for 7 years now.

It doesnt matter what your initial experience is. It matters who you are. Just like, it doesnt matter how frustrating a game is, it only matters if you are able to move past that loss or frustration and find something fun to do.

Why would they do that when its just as satisfying, if not more, to just join a corp and blow something up?

Not only is the effort, massively less than actually having to stay and encourage the creation of something big, but the tears and rage are just as good, sometimes even better when they realized that the CEO was stupid enough to bring in a recruit with zero checks and security.

> Not before suffering any loss, I’m sure by then they’ve lost a ship or two, but it’s about the big major losses. You’re basically supporting the idea that veteran players should be able to do whatever they want to harm new players and think that wouldn’t reduce retention. You’re wrong.

Well, i lost a 50 mill hurricane in my first month, which was a huge deal to me. But to a new player, every loss is a major loss, especially when theyve never played a game like EVE. People cry over losing ventures, even when you can get it for free.

And yes, veteran players can already do whatever they want to harm new players, they can go over to a new player and gank their ship. New players arent going to be flying expensive, tanky ships with the knowledge of how to avoid ganks. Of course not. Theyre going to be flying paper-thin poorly fit ventures and Tristans, maybe an Algos, and with their poor knowledge of game mechanics, will spin their camera around to try and see whats going on, while their ship burns around them. There are no players who are easier to kill than new players. Removing Awoxing didnt change this.

What removing Awoxing did change, were the somewhat experienced, somewhat rich players who made crap corps and fit blingy ass ships and were essentially untouchable. They were the players, the CEOs who recruited everyone to their crappy do everything corps, spamming countless people. They were the players, the CEOs who lied to their corpmates and sent letters asking new players to inject into stealth bombers to help defend astrahauses. They were the players, the CEOs who bragged about having trillions of isk, all the while begging to corpmates to donate billions of ISK so that the CEO can purchase a Covetor BPO or for secret projects. They were the players, the CEOs who asked players to donate real money, real life money, every month, in order to stay in the corp.

These examples are all real, they are not exaggerations. These people deserve to get their crappy Corps shut down by Awoxing.
