Yes, ganking is part of it. Yes, people should try to rein in their anger and vehemence when they’re faced with the unpleasant side of the mechanics of the game they’ve chosen to play. And sure, it’d be more productive for them to either learn to manage risk in EVE or move on to another game. That said, if you’re the kind of player that gets off on causing loss, harm and setbacks to other players, and further to “mine salt” as is so often the actual case, then grow some friggin’ balls, man up and accept it when a little harsh invective comes your way. EVE is supposed to be a game where your choices matter and have consequences. Being a ganker is one of those choices. “ **For they have sown the wind , and they shall reap the whirlwind**.” EVE may be ‘special’ in the many ways it allows players to be a dick. But being a dick isn’t consequence-free and you don’t get to say “I want to be an a-hole to you but you should be polite and reasonable to me in return.” People shouldn’t be going overboard with personal attacks, that’s a given. Nor should they be going insane over some pixel losses in a pixel game. The proper response to someone struggling with that kind of anger is to show them ways to deal with it or leave it behind. Not smacking them with a stick and then stand back smugly saying “Gosh guys, why so angry? It’s just a game.” ---

The same goes with the way in which you or other drama makers conduct themselves that significantly shapes this forum with disruption. As a broke nomad wander of low sec in a blockade runner, I have respect for the suicide gank. The issues I have for it, are not on those playing the game as CCP designed it to be played. Everything the gankers press as a tool and advantage is there because that is where CCP have settled on design. Learn to lobby your reps for player representation in the CSM effectively before going at fellow players. ---

Your reaction is proof enough already. 😉 Am too lazy to link all your intended drama inducing posts, but I don’t even have to as we all know who you are and how you behave. Your very post here is also that, just an offtopic `wordsalad` not even related to the thread subject, just trying to derail the thread for the sake of drama. So for the sake of the forum, try to restrain yourself from such disruptive practices and stay on topic instead. Even discussing if the OP is meant to just passive-aggressive troll can lead to something useful. But aside of the OP the subject itself is worth discussing and thinking about because honestly the forums became filled with these same behaviors from all sides and nothing actually worthwhile come out of most threads nowadays as a result. I honestly believe things could be improved and that the forums could become an actual place for useful discussion. Maybe it’s naive of me and just wishful thinking. But personally at least try to give it a try. This is why I dismiss the Frostpacker’s forum roleplay despite usually I myself participate in his stuff the most, because this specific case taking the subject seriously seems like worth giving a try. ---
