Hold on a second there you creep.

…You came into this ■■■■■■■■■■■ of a disaster wiyh your “Black Hand” and grab hold of your WMD and starting wiggling it around for everyone to see.

You deploy Warclones into an extremely hostile environment without any kind of network to catch their infomorph.

You deploy a god damn tactical nuke.

But not a CRU?

The infomorph of a Warclone is not just something you can just “backup”. It’s an ever evolving consciousness that should never be deprived of its experiences it endures.

It’s the source of it’s strength - experience.

You Capsuleers rarely gotta worry about needing backups when you got such a vast safety net that can snatch your infomorph up even in the depths of abyssal space.

But here in the Accords? We work to preserve these infomorphs. We work to preserve our people.

While you show little concern for them. Tell me, it’s not like you were going in their quietly, you were announcing openly the Black Hand were operating there. Following it up with an announcement of moving nuclear devices. What stopped you from deploying a CRU to extract the infomorphs?

Nothing is adding up, amigo.

Why are you letting him bait you into taking his edge nonsense seriously? A nuke. You think he managed to deploy and fire off a _nuke_ planetside? From the word go it was obvious his words were about as reliable as his brain.

The core warclone infomorph file is saved on central computer databases. They’re “safer” by default than capsuleers – a capsuleer has to choose to make (and regularly update) backups, a warclone always has one, updated every time they clone.

Now sure, there’s things that don’t add up (like that whole nuke bit), but “warclone backups” isn’t one of them.

As one of those “terrorists”, I maintain that on the issue of massacres of non-combatants, you CANNOT be neutral. You either condemn or condone it. You cannot excuse crimes againts humanity with “it’s their way and gotta respect that.”

Capsuleers wouldn’t hav… Ok who am I kidding, but at the very least meddled _less_ in the situation if the empires had done _something_ than just bicker amongst themselves. Empire could have gained massive PR for stepping in, not that I’d be thrilled about it, but at least millions of lives would have been saved. But instead they once again showed how far the Empire has fallen from their own god’s light.

Oveg Drust was not a neutral observer. He condoned the murder of millions. He protected the butchers. He got what was coming to him. Actually, no, as I said, I regret we couldn’t send him to Yulai in “pod express.”

You saying you had backups for them shows thst you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how warclone implants work. Unlike capsuleer implants, where when you die, a scan is taken of your brain, essentially making your next iteration a copy of the previous, a warclones implants allow for a constant stream of consciousness. There is no known way to backup a warclone because they are not implanted from one brain to another like capsuleers, but are housed in the implant and animate the body from there. You sent warclones to their real death. End of story

As for this, it appears that, objectively, Concord had little choice. Concord may have very well chosen the side of the slaves, but because of the capsuleers illegal actions, and breaches of socerign airspace against concord law, concord was forced to side with the Khanid.

Take a moment and consider how ridiculous that statement is. The infomorph is _literally_ the recorded electrochemical state of the brain. If you have that data in an artificial data-storage system (the implant) you have _already copied it_, and you can duplicate that data off-site. There is absolutely no way to have recorded data in a man-made format that can be observed, but not duplicated. If you can observe it, and the format is man-made, you can copy it, bit by bit if need be.

“There is no known way to backup this data because they exist in an artificial data-storage system and animate the body from there.”

This is what you’ve said. You’re claiming that recorded data—already a ‘backup’ that has been made—cannot be backed up.

Except for that whole ‘CONCORD was on-site before capsuleers began humanitarian intervention operations, and _blew up an unarmed DST_’ thing, right? They totally might have sided with the slaves… _except for the part where CONCORD can’t intervene in internal property issues of the Khanid Empire and was already enforcing the Khanids’ decisions **before** anyone landed troops anywhere on the planet_.

On the topic of infomorph transfer of warclones, I don’t normally like to speak on the matter because despite the fact that I help lead an organisation of warclones our actual understanding of our own implants is… Shallow. So far as I understand it, that’s the case of most other groups studying the implant.

Best way I know of to describe it is that making a back-up or copy of a warclone consciousness is technically possible but its a bit of a huge faux pas. A lot like “soft cloning” for capsuleers but worse. Yes, you can probably reconstruct a warclone consciousness if you wanted to but actually ending that first consciousness has a bit more weight to it than a capsuleer.

Whenever a capsuleer is uploaded to a new clone its like burning a CD or writing to a new hard drive from a file. With warclones, the consciousness isn’t written in as much as it is a direct peer-to-peer transfer. Its less like a hard drive and more like… I don’t know, RAM. So actually terminating that transfer and reconstructing it is something that carries a lot more cultural weight and is a bit more meaningful to warclones than it is when a capsuleer gets podded.

I hope I’m explaining it well enough to give you an idea what I’m on about. Like I said I don’t normally like talking about this because it makes me uncomfortable to think about and it makes me realise that we barely understand this implant we rely on. Its a touchy subject for most warclones, if you can’t tell.
