Eve is a MMO, it’s best to play it with other people.

Thus leaving a corp is entirely the wrong thing to do.

I also do not feel constrained by my skill queue and thus need no freeing. 😆

I don’t need to leave my corp to do solo PvE or solo PvP.

Telling players to quit their groups goes in the long list of bad advice given in this thread.

> Ask yourself, what IF I was actually brave enough to switch off the skill queue? Imagine the possibilities, you would be free, at last.

Brave?

No.

Stupid. Skill points are a source of progress that you pay for by being Omega. You could turn it into ISK if you extracted and sold it, so even if you weren’t interested in training more skills it is a really bad idea to waste that queue and train nothing.

The only thing you would be free of is your money, for no good reason at all, just like when you extracted a character you impulsively injected deep into diminishing returns just before.

You’re free to do so, but I wouldn’t call such an intentional waste of value ‘freeing’.

> [@One\_Ugly\_Cat](#):

> What would that mean for my experience in the game, aren’t you not a little curious at least?

You’ve already shared more of your game experience in this thread than I was interested in and none of it seemed like a good idea so no, I am not curious.

> Now, does the game teach you how to fly and fit a ship the moment you sit in it? Yes, it does, tooltips, fitting screens, all of it’s right there regardless of how you got into the seat.

It does not give you the experience to fly. Skills yes. Experience not a chance. Did i know how long to overheat a mod and for so long. And which modules to overheat and when. Reading about it is not the same as doing it. Again you are a returning player. You can with a degree of remembered competence fly better than myself. A player that has only three years in the game.

I have experience in looking over a 'Belt and with a quick look assess whether it is worth to even mine or move on. I can look at the market at Jita, Dodixie, ect. determine what I could be manufacturing down the road. What I can buy at a lower cost elsewhere and sell at dodixie, ect. But that is experience.

For all the needed skills of station trader. It still comes down too experience of watching the markets. Knowing how to navigate said markets. When it comes down to flying any ship. A player can read, can skill into, can afford to buy the ship and modules. But all that is meaningless unless you have experience in flying the T1 ships and then gaining experience and developing the competency in flying those T2 and 3 ships.

Likewise just because I had the requisite skills for station trading and amusingly called a filthy arms merchant by some forum poster. Did not mean that I was not going to make a rookie mistake and take a bath. But I have gotten better at analyzing and looking at spreadsheets.. Just about relearning Excel again.. May the gods above and below have mercy on my poor soul.. 🤪 When I retired I thought I would never have to deal with that again.

Come on guys. This dude clearly wants people to see the size of his wallet and he’ll go on about it as long as people engage. No-one posts photographic evidence of financial transactions completely irrelevant to the discussion, unless he/she wants to show off. If only their IQ was something to brag about, then maybe we could have an actual discussion.

Block feature still works efficiently on the forums, by the way.

I just saw a 150m sp toon selling the character bizarre for $150 very quickly. Each character gets almost 2 million sp per month. Do the math yourself. If the only thing you want is a high skill point character. That’s pretty easy to get and actually really cheap.

And how exactly will you get more out of this setup than out of one high SP main?

Not that I’m saying it’s bad to have skillful alts on your account, I just don’t see yet how keeping the characters limited in SP is going to help.

What I don’t understand is why you would do all this if you could instead fly a single 50M SP character that can fly both missile and laser Legions well.

Or why you would pick this over continuing to train your main so that you can eventually train all the ships you want well.

Your reasoning sounds logical only on a thin surface level if you happen to be a player who doesn’t know how much SP it takes to fly a ship well and uses AI to answer questions about something they don’t really have interacted with yet.

Just train your character to fly a Legion well, you don’t need three separate characters to cover shield, armor, laser and missile combinations. You’re setting yourself up for massive inefficiencies if you need to train all those same skills again and again.

What makes you qualified to give advice to our new guys? The things you say don’t make any sense. Unless you are the sales department at CCP. And seriously I use AI a lot… The logic in what you say directly looks like AI logic that is absolutely flawed. It looks like you realize that and then the AI agreed with you and realize that it was wrong so it agreed with you. That could have been a discovery Link in your own head without the public show…

If you want to talk about training a character you have to talk about its purpose. You realize you’re talking to a guy with over 100 characters and 15 years experience right? Placing high skill point characters on the same account is also ridiculous. 1 high point character per account so they have the option of being logged in separately. Planning out your characters means you have to think about how they log in first. In groups most likely to support one another.

> […]

Are you now also beginning to confirm that a whale that buys the way into the game does not know about base mechanics or what is it now?

There is a hard limit in place to prevent farming beyond a certain point. You can’t extract the last 5M SP points of any character.

For your reference from [https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Skill\_trading:](https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Skill_trading:)

### Limitations

- **You need a minimum of 5,500,000 skillpoints to use an extractor (can’t drop below 5 million skillpoints).**
- A single extractor holds 500,000 skillpoints (500k) and the total worth of skillspoints for the skills you select must equal to or exceed this number in order to create a **Skill Injector**.
  - You cannot extract skillpoints from a skill that is a prerequisite for another skill, so if you want to get rid of a whole chain of skills you’ll need to extract the skills from the top down.

- If the account to be extracted from is in Alpha Clone State, characters may only extract skills requiring Omega Clone State.
- Certain skills cannot be removed, such as:
  - [Infomorph Psychology](https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Skills:Neural_Enhancement#Infomorph_Psychology "Skills:Neural Enhancement")
  - [Advanced Infomorph Psychology](https://wiki.eveuniversity.org/Skills:Neural_Enhancement#Advanced_Infomorph_Psychology "Skills:Neural Enhancement")

No surprise there.

But while skill farming may not be profitable it still covers a large portion of an Omega subscription allowing you to fly Omega ships for far less ISK if you don’t care about training skills.

> [@One\_Ugly\_Cat](#):
>
> so there’s no gap left to exploit.

The gap to exploit is that you get Omega for a significant discount. Not that you get it for free or get paid on top.

Or if you pay for the Omeha subscription, that you get a lot of ISK to buy ships.

> [@One\_Ugly\_Cat](#):
>
> Bottom line, if you want skill points, either train organically for free over time, or pay the going injector rate and accept it as a real cost, there’s no clever shortcut hiding in the system anymore. 😊

When I mentioned skill farming it wasn’t to have a clever shortcut.

It was as a non-wasteful alternative to turning your skill queue off. Skill points are obtained for free, why would you waste it instead of sell it if you’re not interested in training skills?
