# Perseverance, new limited ice mining destroyer

Leopard has been distributed (i.e. given out) multiple times (at least twice), and it was given out as a 5-run BPC at least on one of those occasions.

I haven’t checked the contracts for it lately, but there were still those BPCs available a couple of years or so ago.

How do we actually unlock it? I’m returning from a long time away and never participated in these winter nexus events. I can’t seem to find information on what to do to unlock it though.

The link with info is literally in the first post posted by Gerard Amatin.

But to recap in my own words: The Perseverance BPC can be unlocked from a reward-track by getting enough points for it. You get points from shooting at stuff, hacking certain sites, or mining ice. If you’re Omega it’s easy. If you’re alpha it’s probably more difficult as you can’t ice mine, but you should still be able to get enough points by running the combat sites or shooting at LADs.

Running combat sites is by far the quickest way to get points and can be done by an alpha. It’s not difficult in the least it just takes a little time.
