I think that it is uneasy to make a good character, but you are doing it very well. After seeing yours, my character seems to be too common, just like myself in the real life. ![2120785551_512](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/c/f/6/cf69d9c8810ce02eb19ece15622dafd3e7438948.jpeg) ---

Hi @Ian_Zhang, it’s not that hard to make your character stand out though! Try: - different poses, one where your character and body aren’t in their default position - moving your character sideways, up or down so that the head isn’t in the middle - moving the chin, mouth and neck for a more life-like appearance Those three steps already make your portrait a lot less like default portraits. Aside from that you can also change clothes, hair, light and other items to make your character unique. 😉 Also look in this thread for more inspiration: [EVE portraits - share tricks, and share yours!](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/eve-portraits-share-tricks-and-share-yours/334843) ---

not bad，try to find a nice picture and copy it in the game, lol. 我按照最终幻想里的角色捏了一些，还蛮不错的，捏的时候注意种族和血统，M的基本很难捏出来好看的。然后注意角度，”打光“和打光的强弱。我这个角色，换个角度也不是很好看。 ---

I like the one on the black background (the last posted image) best. EVE is all about details, and I think character details are just as important. Especially for those playing this game long term. And EVE has one of the best (if not the best) character creators of any game, and it’s good to see people use it to its full potential. I made my character look like myself in real life (as close as I could with predefined EVE races). My approach to this game is very ‘‘real-life’’, and I hope my character gives off that Earthy vibe too. ---

The Pulse is a Capsuleer bar at _Jita 4-4_ (not in-game, yet) and name of YouTube show where _CCP Mirage_ reviews latest game updates and events on roughly monthly or bi-monthly basis. Some episodes feature player avatars 🥹 ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/6/d/1/6d1b500e08ec6a92821089f74b9ebe2fe8954770.jpeg) ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/8/3/3/833fd4eb015fa9e7f437a255a889685146117ba4.jpeg) ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/e/3/e/e3e6473b20907eb55cb4eb393e999ddf2e0ac0f8.jpeg) ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/e/c/c/ecc403a77911646aaf6cb863df45f8cd108bb53b.jpeg) _Source: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p67YQdd4M78](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p67YQdd4M78)_ The Pulse - YT official CCP playlist: https://www.youtube.com/embed/videoseries?list=PLQvKSs1k6DLOyFuvBJ0G5wH8c4fgc3EpD&wmode=transparent&rel=0&autohide=1&showinfo=1&enablejsapi=1 CCP Mirage social [https://x.com/CCP\_Mirage](https://x.com/CCP_Mirage) ---

fyi, the FF’25 Lore panel, had (very) briefly mentioned WIP 😏 [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/c/1/f/c1fef0787069471b28f740ae35cbf6685755b741.jpeg "EVE Fanfest 2025 - EVE Lore Panel") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFwQNf7Kt9Q&t=1983) Although it was rather focused on reading lore material from the bookshelf in your CQ, what would be better way to show off your player avatar, right? 🥹 WIP (or Walking In Stations aka Captain’s Quarters) explained… [https://youtu.be/c\_UZaaig4Dw](https://youtu.be/c_UZaaig4Dw) ---
