But again… It’s a raffle I would say almost like a raffle at your local school or community. Nothing stops a group of people to conspire to pool their tickets they purchase to share the prize. In EVE’s case it would be the use of alts. Don’t like it don’t use it. I haven’t played hypernet at least 6+ months now. The outrage about this should be over by now. ---

its advantageous for the cassino to have “fair” games that way people win and they have free advertisement if i could make a hypernet raffle super cheap and fair for the players i would the problem is the 5% hypercore + 5% taxes + profit that make hypernet a bad game btw i will start to make raffles again others are a SCAM … im the only legit play play play gogogo ger rich now ---

That is different, as nobody can prove that the owner of a real life lottery isn’t cheating when they draw their own ticket. In EVE the owner of a raffle is not the one doing the drawing though - CCP’s hypernet system does that, which cannot be cheated as players do not have control over which ticket wins. Therefore the rule of '_not being allowed to buy your own lottery tickets IRL’_ has little to do with buying your own raffle tickets in EVE: you can cheat as lottery owner IRL, but players do not have the tools to cheat the raffle draw in EVE. ---

Truly random? No, it’s probably semi-random and using a seed. But as we players have no insight in the randomness of the hypernet it wouldn’t be any different in practice if it were truly random. ---

i don’t want to brag especially using other guys name but let me do it anyway … do you know iron bank? … i do … because i gambled so F high sometimes i had to talk with him to mobilize my isk i used to play the most expensive slot 24/7 + raffles even sleeping (on iPad) one day i won alll ships in the game in a prize one day 70 billion isk back them isk became meaningless to me… like a acid trip or sumting why do anything else in the game? i am 😭 edit: but not because of gambling i won A LOT on gambling on somer on i want isk even on the terrible hypernet i am poor because i play for free and don’t grind for some years evil ccp ban on gambling helped a lot to edit2: now im retired i read the theory of poker , super system , ace on the river and other gambling books nowadays daniel negreanu have a NEO theory of poker , its mind bowing , im a old fart i wach hin some times, but im not interested anymore , 10/10 recommend it anyway he is the new David Sklansky ---

Hypernet is a great idea, maybe some bad implementation here and there. e.g. the opening, blue you lost, golden you won. Ofc CCP is stoopid, took all the rush away. Also make the animation optional. But, the real culprit is the fact people think they know statistics, but they don’t. Winning a Gila with a 1/512 is very satisfying. 🕶 Ofc it’s not going to happen a lot, to be honest I don’t think it’s gonna happen again (to me)! No worries guys, statistics is hard, and no irony here, just be humble and accept you don’t understand it. ---
