Thanks for getting in touch! I didn’t know about the previous chart at all @Altrue but, IMHO, your revision is utterly brilliant. I’m currently dropping in the final hyperlinks so the project is almost finished, but I’d really like to give you a look at it when I send it out to the review panel people. **Short Update …** Half of the hyperlinks are now done - PvE, Corps/Alliances and PvP. PvP isn’t really my strong suite so tracking down good (_or what I think are good_) links for this stuff was a bit challenging. Right from the beginning my intention was to make sure that the chart captures, _hopefully_, all of the various game play styles in Eve (_even the ones that I’m not 100% conversant with_) so hopefully when it’s finished there’ll be something for everyone in it. 🚀 ---

Short Update … Real life work - sadly I don’t have (_yet_) the luxury of independent wealth - conspires to stop me working on the chart from time to time and the last few weeks have been particularly busy. Having said this, about three quarters of the the hyperlinks are now done - PvE, Corps/Alliances, PvP and Community are now all finished with just Industry to go. The main difficulty with the hyperlinking has been the research time involved. Some content has been really easy to link to, but some has involved a fair bit of online research, some reading and lots website comparison to make sure that the link on the chart is, as far as possible, the best information that’s out there. I’m trying to pick solid links that are accurate (_in terms of content and usefulness_) and also robust (_insofar as they’re unlikely to disappear soon_) meaning that the chart (_hopefully_) won’t get broken fast (_but yearly, or more often, revisions are anticipated_). I’ve leant fairly heavily on the utterly brilliant Eve University, supplemented by the best that CCP has online as well as a bunch of independent sources where appropriate. In addition to the physical chart, I’m considering making the links list available as a really basic RTF document at the end so that there can be both an interactive and flat version of the chart (_that will download with the RTF links list_) available. I am gradually getting there, albeit somewhat slowly. 🚀 ---

I was thinking about a category you could add, it wouldn’t be something that could be done all the time. But usually when lore events happen. They usually drop encrypted fragments or some other items to extract lore from. Usually during these events corporations like ARC will put out bounties to buy the items from other players. ---

That apparently happened in the recent past. Someone got the one single McGuffin item and didn’t want to relinquish it to any of the empires to continue the plotline. Surprise, CCP didn’t plan for that outcome, they thought everyone is a simp for one of the four empire factions. CCP apparently is keen to never design lore drops this way again. ---

Apologies for the delays guys. Aside of the research that I’ve been doing \*see below) real life keeps tripping me up. Bah! One big issue has been tracking down good web links for the activities (_the skill path boxes are hyperlinked for extra info on demand_). Some have been very straightforward to track down (_eg: PI_) but some are proving quite elusive. What I might do in the very near future is post a wish list of career paths that I’m missing links for on here and see if I can extract some useful pointers from the Eve Forum hive mind. It will definitely be finished this year though, I really am almost there. 🐁 ---

Some more progress made… Sections now finished: > **PvE** > Wormholes, Exploration, Ratting, Incursions – 19 separate career activity cards. > **Corporations/Alliances** > Corporation, Alliance - 14 separate career activity cards. > **PvP** > Missions, High-Sec Space, Piracy, Solo, Scamming, Anti-Piracy – 40 separate career activity cards. > **Community** > Volunteering, Out-Of-Game, In-Game, Education – 32 separate career activity cards. > **Industry** > Extraction, Hauling, Production, done; just Market still to be finished… Separate RTF document created to manage the included links which lists all hyperlinks that exist in the document. **Mini Update** All hyperlinks have now been double checked. I am missing a few sources of a good web page for the following career cards … Corporations \> Alliance \> High Value Target Hunting Corporations \> Alliance \> Special Interest Groups Corporations \> Alliance \> IT Specialist (as in the role within a corporation or alliance … so feel free to suggest. Now I’m just adjusting the final positioning and sorting out the account icon on each card. 🚀 ---

It is **done**. Well, the first (Beta) draft anyhow. Wow. On some levels I can’t quite believe it because it was such a massive slog to get to this point, but I finally got there. Copies of the chart and the release notes have now gone off to the members of the review panel by email, as well as to some people I know in CCP for their constructive criticism and feedback. (_tagging the people who I know are on here just so that they know to check their inboxes … @Mike_Azariah, @Altrue, @Geo_Eclipse_Oksaras, @Han_Zealot_) Once I get this feedback back there’ll most likely be a further series of amendments, and another draft, based on the feedback, before I finally upload a final version (_most probably to Dropbox_) for public download. When this goes ‘live’ the plan is to have the following available as downloadable resources: - **A interactive PDF version of the Eve Online Career Chart** In PDF format with clickable hyperlinks that are relvant to the section of chart that you’re on; - **Extracts of the five genre headings as interactive PDFs** Separate PDFs for each career genre: PvE, PvP, Industry, Corporations/Alliances and Community; - **Poster Size Printable PDF** A version of the chart as a high resolution PDF - good for printing out yourself and/or taking to the local print shop, should you want something cool/awesome for your wall. - **An RTF list of all the hyperlinks in the interactive chart** I really created this as a way of managing the hyperlinks as I was including them, but recognising that some people might want to download the printable version but still be interested in the links, it makes sense to make this available for download too. In terms of why it’s taken this long to get to this point, can I blame real life for getting in the way? On top of the fact that I figured if I was going to do the project, I wanted to do a really good job of it, and I think I may have just done this, in the end. There are around 9,748 individual graphical elements in the chart along with as many hyperlinked boxes. The links go to brilliant webpages that all pilots in New Eden are going to find helpful - Eve University, CCP Info sites, YouTube videos - hopefully it’ll really be worth the wait. Thank you to everyone who has given me support so far on this project. Like I said, at times it _really_ has been a slog but the fact that you had my back has meant the world to me, and the positive comments and support have really helped to keep me going. Just a little while longer guys and we’ll be there… 🚀 ---
