  • This fitting is meant for Alpha players and can include only Tech 1 modules.
  • The cost of the fittings should be relatively low. Remember its for new players.
  • Try to keep the complexity of the fittings down. For instance, micro managing cap boosters is not something a new player may have experience in.

How to fly:
This fit is a straight forward brawler.
Activate Afterburner > Orbit 500 > Web / Scram Target as soon as possible > Fire
Use Armor repairer as needed, be careful not to cap yourself out.

What this T1 neut brawler fit sacrifices in DPS (Alpha Clone 56.4 DPS at 600m fac ammo), it makes up for in target capacitor warfare (45 GJ neutralized / 6 sec). Dual armor rep configuration offer flexibility to double active tank if ‘player needs to go to 11.’

With ammo this ship costs 6m ISK.

The extra structure buffer allows the usage of the ancil repper with a generous margin of error and it DOES NOT impede agility and speed of the Rifter, one of its main advantages. With its generous Speed and Falloff this ship can react flexible to its enemys, kiting brawlers and brawling kiters to ensure the advantage is on its side. All modules will be used at all time sbesides the Repairer so it is quite easy to manage. A easy to fly fit with room for error and still a strong punch.

A kiting Rifter!
This is a surprise fitting since no one expects a Rifter to be artillery fitted, but it works quite well!
The Rifter has a good speed and also a capacitor to run a MWD+point capacitor stable + 1 full ancillary armor repairer until reload
with this fitting you just have to choose the right ammo type and “keep at range” 18km and fire your guns

a little pricey but well worth the money!

Why, you ask is a fitting that is of the wrong faction and hull type? Well CCP in their infinite wisdom chose to overlook a great utility use for the exploration frigate and I saw zero places to properly propose it.

There is a variation of this fit for all factions but all are basically the same, also, this really does require an MTU for larger combat sites as the lack of high slots prohibits tractor mods.

Yes it lacks tank, it is meant to be a follow up ship, not an on grid salvager

Figs are quick to begin with the afterburner is enough speed, and the MWD is power grid hungry for fitting purposes

If you are cap stable without the cap recharger, use the nav comp for quicker drone salvaging

Use is simple: warp to wreck cluster, launch salvage drones and salvage … target wrecks and use the salvagers on the farther ones (that are in range) collect loot/MTU done and done

I feel like a snowflake for suggesting one uses a ship’s bonuses

again the other faction ships are the same fitting except for mid slots (if you need cap stability for the magnate, use 3 expanded cargo and 1 cap power relay)

lastly this is a t1/m0 fit as a model, upgrade to meta mods or t2 as skills/isk allows

and, oh, the rigs really are needed but they are 1 mil per … not so newbro friendly isk-wise

The Minmatar Rifter is Fast and has good damage application at range.

This Web Kite Fit Rifter uses both advantages and costs less than 1 Mio. ISK.
The idea is to be within 20 Kilometers to use the Warp Disruptor. Whenever an enemy Frigate closes in there is a web to slow it down. Other Afterburning Frigates have a hard time trying to escape or closing in, since this Rifter is faster and more agile than the other Afterburning Frigates. Enemies who use a Microwarpdrive can close the gap to the Rifter but in order to stay close to it they need a lot of capacitor and they are easy to hit because of signature bloom.

Fit is about making sure you live enough on field to figure out what’s going on. I recall my early fights in active tanked ships were pretty much over before I got a repair cycle on.

This bad boy gives you AB and about 6k ehp at max skills and can push out 88dps at max skills with regular ammo.

Price is going about 900k ISK - it can be pushed to about 2m by adding two trimark rigs which give you 1000 ehp.

It’s definitely a learning fit - it won’t win you too many fights but at least you will get a cheap lesson into what’s going on and why you died.

Same vein as the armor buffer one - not going to win you prizes but get in brawl and get to work.
45dps passive regen will halve the usual dps you would get from a T1 frigate and let you hang in there for longer and figure out what’s going on.

It’s a bit more expensive at 1.7m because it doesn’t work without the rigs really (drops to 29 regen which is even lower with alpha skills)

Basically training wheels for the kiting doctrine. 48% cap stable at max skills, will probably be able to permarun the mwd until it dies with alpha skills. Keep at that 15-20km range and pew away. Maneuver a lot, it can afford that. What it can’t afford is to get hit.

1.1 m cost has about 10% CPU and 10% pg left so fitting is easier
