this game would be so much more amazing if you could fight people and practice combat without worrying about losing billions of isk every go. once hull hits 1 hp the other player wins, and then restore both ships HP, make the engagement limited to only the players involved in the duel. no suicide ganking during the duel or during duel recovery. huge missed opportunity. add “duel mail” to the game as well. also cause a visual explosion on the losing ship when they lose. So much could be done with this… you could also have safe fleet duels. where teams can fight each other. ---

i get it, but that causes allot of players to just miss out on a ton of content. keep the risk. thats great. dont change the core of the game. safe dueling isnt going to ruin the game mechanics it will only make people more ready to risk their assets. it needs to be added to the game the two are not mutually exclusive, and would actually draw more players into real “risk conflict”. ---

I get where you’re going with the idea, I do. However, things going kaboom and the resulting loss / replacement of destroyed things keeps people like me in business. Without loss, we’re out of a job. Therefore in my own self interest I’m going to have to disagree with you. Fly Safe o7 ---

It’s not full loot, but it does have permadeath. Two HC players duelling is called mak’gora, the in-universe ordish term for a fight to the death. The player who loses the duel loses that character, and since HC is played so much more cautiously, that’s often hundreds of hours of hard work. ---

They do need some form of ‘training dummy’ like they have in WOW. Could be an item made by players to simulate a ship that you can select.. Then you put real modules on the training dummy to simulate shield/armor etc, even give it weapons to fire at you. ---

they were referring to the test server that we don’t have 24/7 access to anymore, because CCP got tired of players abusing it. ---

yep and theres a reason hardly anyone does duels to the death.. if they do its a big flex or ego thing or over a crazy despute. ---
