I’ve experienced a strange bug for the last couple of weeks. Sometimes, my screen freezes mid-fight. It’s sporadic, and so far, only seems to happen if I’m at a site with an acceleration gate, but not at every site. It’s just random. It also almost always happens in twos. As in the screen will freeze, I’ll click off the client and restart, fight for a bit, and then a few seconds or minutes later (in the same combat site, but may be a different location), another screen freeze. After that, the game works fine until it doesn’t.

This happens with any ship I fly, and only happens mid-combat. Jumps, scanning, hacking, and Jita are just fine.

I’m running Win 11 Pro on AMD Ryzen 5900X, AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT. All the drivers and Windows are up to date. I’m connected to the internet via a Cat 5 cable and all other games, work just fine. I have done the usual turn off and restart the computer and router on multiple occasions.

Any thoughts?

Hopefully this will help but it certainly won’t hurt to try…

Before logging into the game, access Launcher settings (gear icon top right corner) and select ‘Eve Online’ tab, then select ‘Verify Game Files’… After that’s done, select ‘Remove Unused Files’ and then log into the game…

After logging into the game, access Esc menu - Reset Settings tab - ‘Clear All Cache Files’ which will prompt a relog…

I can’t think of anything else other than making sure your computer fans are working..

Good luck…
