Let me get this straight… You say something I don’t understand what has to do with what’s being discussed… I ask for clarification to try to understand what you mean and you refuse to do so… And yet, _in the very same post_ you tell me it’s me who can’t answer a question that, unlike you, I’ve answered multiple times in this very thread already, _in the same post you were replying to even_ ?

ROFLMAO 🤣 🤣 🤣

> [@Ildrara](#):
>
> Citation please. Who said I didn’t like cargo scanners? Why do you keep playing pretend? Where is the proof of this?

I didn’t say you don’t like cargo scanners specifically, I said “players that do things you don’t like”. What you don’t like are suicide gankers, and THAT is the real reason you want cargo scanners go suspect, not any interest in improving the game with more PvP like you’re pretending to make everyone believe…

You really should know better what you say yourself. Your post history is plenty of posts that show your clear bias against suicide ganking, and that by itself should be enough. But the really funny thing here is that just a couple days ago you explicitly said in another thread what’s the real reason you want ship scanners get a suspect timer:

> [@Ganking and Paying A Gank Fee / Ganking Permit](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/ganking-and-paying-a-gank-fee-ganking-permit/84546/42):
>
> Accept that ganking is here to stay. **I am all for hindering them in ways that make sense like making ship scanners get a suspect timer**

And by requiring me to prove that you said what you said, when you could simply have admitted what your real reasons for wanting the change are, you’ve just proven how dishonest and hypocrite you are. 'Nuff said…

Yeah and? Like I said I am all for it. It won’t stop them from being used. It just adds another target people can shoot at for doing something suspicious. What is wrong with that?

Not that it matters, cause you might very well have been a suicide ganker in the past and be against it now, or have used that game mechanic for a very particular purpose and still be against CODE or freighter ganking or whatever, but I’m curious now… Is this the killboard you’re talking about? Or are you talking about something else?

No, as you’ve had the opportunity to see already, I just go by the facts, even facts about yourself that you pretended hadn’t happened…

LOL, you ask “and”? Really? Of course you’re NOT all for it if you’re referring to suicide ganking now. Please read what you said yourself. You just _accept_ ganking is here to stay, but what you said you’re all for is _ **hindering them** _. And that’s not me guessing or “playing pretend” like you say (not that I would be wrong if I did), that’s YOU _explicitly_ having said so just a couple days ago… and asking me to prove you did… and now pretending it doesn’t matter…

I am not against it at all. Just speaking my mind on why cargo scanning should be suspect flagged. You do realize you can be for something and still think changes can be made.

Ildrara is my forum alt because I don’t feel like dealing with idiots bothering me while I play the game. Many do it.

It means you said the word “you” when you were replying to me.
You said people that do things that I don’t like.
That is what that means. Learn to read.

Since I don’t want to post with my main you will have to either believe it or not that I have suicide ganked. I was doing it before you even made your character.

This is the Corp that has most of my suicide ganks.
The other is this one. I joined in 2006.

Having spent most of my days in pirate corps that suicide ganked and gate camped more than your corp has I would think I know better than you.

So again. Cargo scanning another players ship should be suspect flagged.
The only people really against it are those that suicide gank.

Curious…

You argue for and against the topic in the same thread against the same person. You ask why a tracking disruptor which can do no harm against a freighter gets someone flagged criminal, and when given evidence that it is directly attacking a computer’s ability to preform it’s function decide that anyone who could present such evidence is insane. You then immediately agree that altering a computer’s functions would result in a criminal offense.

So either you are not discussing the topic or you are just flamebaiting.

This never happened.
You never gave evidence that this can happen in game. Without turrets your tracking can’t be disrupted.

Sure because that is real life and not the game.

Or I am discussing the topic and giving an example for why a cargo scanner should flag you as a suspect giving an in game example instead of giving real life examples that are irrelevant to anyone but you and some other dumb people.

When given evidence that disrupting the tracking of my GPS is in fact tracking disruption previously and not more than an hour ago.

That is real life. You understand the difference don’t you?

The only thing a Tracking Disruptor does is interfere with turret range and turret tracking of the ship you targeted with it.

> Disrupts the turret range and tracking speed of the target ship. This module can be loaded with scripts to increase its effectiveness in certain areas.
> Penalty: Using more than one type of this module or similar modules that affect the same attribute on the ship will be penalized.

That is in the actual description of the module. Its only effect is in the game called EVE online. It doesn’t disrupt real life GPS in your car. Do you get that yet?

I am seriously curious if you are actually stupid or are just a really good troll.

While the GPS is a ‘tracking system’ this is a disingenuous comparison, EVE tracking systems refer to targeting arrays- for weapons, not networked signal delay analysis used for navigation.

The GPS is analogous to your map tab in EVE, we don’t get suspect timers for using map tab features, because that’s stupid.

@MinerArt stop using fallacious reasoning in your arguments, you are actually better than that and I’ve been witness to it.

quite right…

But interfere with a tracking system (regardless of ability to counter) is interference. There is looking, and then there is data alteration. An attack on a tracking system (your GPS does not send signals up to space, it listens for them) is still an attack. It’s a given unless you deny it.

Science does not block real examples from fictional simulations. Railguns are a real object and they also exist in eve online. Cannons exist in real life and in eve online. Tracking systems exist in real life and in eve online. If tracking systems did not exist in real life we wouldn’t have GPS guided weaponry…
