Well I am thinking of the real underdogs here the small guys just investing in their first structure the guys that are regularly targeted by griefers for exactly the reason that they are small and cant defend themselves from a lack of personal resources.

Yes they will lose the structure, that is a given but why make it cost them double when rewarding griefing at the same time. Those “fights” are not about PVP they aren’t about “gud timez” they are about “I am bigger than you so I’m kicking your sand castle down for a monetary reward and if you don’t like it go join goons” which is simply not productive to the overall EVE community, or in game universe and continuity.

Okay. Sure. But I’d ask why make an australia house so pathetic to start? As I said in either this thread or the other one, the weakest of small control towers is at least twice as strong as this thing will be after the buff. The answer is, of course, null sec FCs and line members crying about having to monitor and keep clear their space and it being inconvenient for them. The hypocrisy of ‘Oh we want content but not that kind of content where people actually have a 1% of being difficult for us’ is disgusting.

2 more days would cushion the blow a bit, definitely.

Like others have said, armor timer was always a bit of a gamble, and not so easy for attackers. Especially if they don’t have a strong reason to bash the structure and are just doing it out of boredom or to make some ISK.

The thing is that shield bash is usually very easy in a wormhole because you do it after you randomly connected to the system so it’s next door and after RF’ing the Astrahus you just go back home. The defenders will usually not even be online at the time, certainly not with full numbers.

For the other timers you have to come into the system again (unless you wanted to have lots of chars logged out in there), but for the hull timer there is basically a guaranteed killmail and a chance for loot drops so it’s easy to get people to come for it.

But for the armor timer there was nothing in it for the attackers. No killmail, no loot. It’s just something you have to do to progress towards the hull timer. So fielding a big fleet was more difficult for less-motivated attackers. While defenders are always highly motivated for the armor timer.

And the fact that everyone knows they’ll have to come again twice, with one of those occasions being very boring and with no tangible rewards, most of the time people wouldn’t even bother doing the first reinforcement unless they had a real reason.

And tbh that’s how it should be. The last thing j-space needs is even fewer residents providing targets, even if they are just farmers. Farmers providing gank opportunities with their expensive ratting ships have always been the daily bread and butter of wormhole space, and most of them have already been evicted out of the space. We need changes to reverse that, not make evictions even easier. Speaking as someone who will probably evict somebody this month xD (just following orders).

So as an industry main, I saw the spreadsheet include the components for battleship and above for basically all battlecrusier and below. Is this intentional and is there a reason for it?

Great another gut punch to small industrial corps and industrialists. A huge handout to large industrialists, null sec alliances, and PVP’ers in general. Another step towards Eve becoming just another “shooter” game.

Why would they triple that? You manufactured those, you had all the chances to sell them at the prices they are currently worth (and you still can). That was the risk you took, by hoarding such an amount in your hangar.

This is a complete non-issue.

Hello CCP Auroa

first of all, thank you for finally doing something about capital building after almost a year and a half, because for so long it has been impossible to build capitals, which until then was an entire industry in EVE Online. Im only looked in to cap buildding not in to subcapital changs or other changes of this patch.

However, after looking at the data on sisi, I have to say that I don’t think these changes will lead to a lot of capitals being built again. Yes, the amount of resources has been significantly reduced, especially in terms of the need for PI. What has not been touched is the amount of scanning loot items needed, for the Neurolink Protection Cell and Enhanced Neurolink Protection Cell also less gas less needed, but still the amounts that have to be gethert from deep WH system are huge.
If a player would to buy out jita at the time I am writing this, that player could build 16 Revelations and 86% of an Avatar. Yes, that’s progress, but it’s still a long way from being enjoyable and fun.

During the time of the great rorqual fleets it was far too easy to build capitals and supercapitals and I absolutely supported that this is now more difficult.
What I do not support, however, is that all areas of the game that the producer has nothing to do with have to be included in the building process:
Mining in highsec, mining in lowsec, gas mining in WH, sight running in WH sight running in lowsec, and a litte bit mining in nullsec. And only then may all this be assembled in nullsec.
This force a way of playing the game on the producer, namely that of a logistician. Yes, it used to be the case that huge amounts of material had to be procured, but now it is in addition to that a matter of getting it out of WH space or finding people to spend their playtime scanning and having luck with that.

I would just ask the developers to do a build themselves from start to finish to see how many different things have to be done that are absolutely not designed to make it a big industry. It’s just no fun trying to gather all these things from all over the game and hoping someone will get lucky in sights, or trying to find a highsec corp that can mine enough minerals to deliver them in bulk to nullsec, or even talking about supply the production from the WH where no proper logistics path can be built.

With this industry revived, these resources must be made available again in nullsec. Besides the fact that people can then really work on ships again where they are build AND used, this would also have an other effect: there would be more people for content in space again.
No one goes to the higshec for roaming, but to nullsec. If the resources have to be mined there, gathert, what ever, everyone wins. Logisticians, miners, hunters and defenders. This would be a step to where we were before all the scarcity crap and there were average player numbers of 30,000 instead of 20,000 on the server like it is now.

Something else related to faction titan balacing: Molok and Komodo now have pretty much the same build cost as normal titans, their BPCs are going for about 180b and dropping. A Vanquisher used to cost about 2.5 to 3 times as much as a normal titan, now it’s about 5 times. For the fact that the Vanquiosher is the worst of the faction titans and even if the BPC can be bought for LP, these costs are too high in relation and should be reduced, as this ship is now many times more expensive than its kind, even including the BPC price. Similarly for the Vehement and the Vendetta (a Vehement is about 50 times more expensive than a normal dread).
One more note on faction titans which only partially relate to the buildcosts: Faction titans have never been worth their money, but after the heavy nerf to supercaps over the years, they are just ridiculous. To balance this out a bit, one option would be to give faction titans (and yes ONLY faction titans) the ability to fit HAW guns again. This would give these absurdly expensive ships a real advantage over other titans and maybe even allow them to be used on carp beacons, giving the last few capital hunters (whaler) great opportunities and interesting content. I think it would be an other win-win for everyone and give players who have been around for a long time a new goal.

Tldr: This is going in the right direction, but not look only at the numbers. behinde the numbers are players and activities so think about who, why and where they are carried out this activities and whether they are fun.

Welcome to EVE. The industry changes of 2021 shouldn’t ever even have happened on the scope that they did, and it deprived numerous industrialists of their livelihood back then. CCP effed it all up, and this is as close as they can get to admitting they were wrong. You bet on CCP knowing what they are doing at your own risk.

Fix faction industry next plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

It’s been in a worst state than capitals(maybe not)

But plz make the prices normal again and not 300 mil for a faction cruiser…

I’d rather save up more isk to get a faction bs(not pirate)

unless I’m mistaken… we aren’t going to see any real significant changes in the ship costs at the buyers end… just more of these ships for sale. current build costs are way higher than what you can actually buy a capital ship for, new build costs just bring it back in line so it’s worth it for more people to start building these ships.

Ganking is a fundamental part of Eve, as is the PVP aspect. The ability to be the outlaw, like actually BE, not just some ‘class,’ is one of the things that sets Eve apart from most other games and one of the few aspects it can compete with modern games on. It certainly can’t compete in any of its PVE gameplay aspects as they’re all atrociously outdated. Even the market is starting to lose its grip on competition because CCP damaged it so badly with the last several years.

Hey welcome to the forum new player! We here at Eve have a neat tool called [zkillboard.com](http://zkillboard.com) that you might be interested in. If you take a look you might notice that I have ganked exactly 0 people, ever. However, that doesn’t stop me from having a basic understanding of how this game works. PVP in hisec has been here since day 1. It’s not going away. CCP does not care if you don’t like it. The people who enjoy Eve don’t care if you don’t like it. I used to think that @Aiko_Danuja sometimes went a little far with her “every carebear needs to quit” speeches, but everytime one of you crawls out of the woodwork to try to restructure the entire game because you lost a mining barge I get it.
Do you have any relevant concerns about capital construction to get back on topic? I doubt it, as everyone who builds or uses capitals has progressed to the point they understand what game they’re playing.
