I think CCP should add Faction Logo patterns as part of SKINR design elements. And it would be logical to be able purchase those from LP stores of respective factions. Ideally - with direct application to purchaser (so it will not be possible to resell).

If someone would want to see Angel Cartel Vargur - thy will be able to craft one.

Just a few of the ones I’ve cooked up.  
The last one is one I sold, seeing if people are open to buy custom skins & maybe even order them in the future. Having sales data would be a big help in this!

the two vertical animated lights of the vertical slits of the Ares, the skin makes a cool effect of the embers of a campfire.

I have amended my post above to include the response I received, which is currently it is regarded as a probable bug, and I was asked to bug report it, which I did.

So, clearly not intentional.

However, I spent a lot of time exploring this effect, and it is applicable to most, probably all hulls. (I haven’t tried all hulls.) I could finagle some sort of change on everything I tried, after enough experimentation. So, if others stumble across this “effect”, probably a bug report is in order.

The big “reveal” using the mouse scroll:

The orange disappears, revealing a black background featuring matching pirate skulls.

You can control the color change at any step during the orange to black transition.

The available variations is eye-opening, like this Astero skin, which appears almost translucent from a top down view:

Glad you took the time to figure it out with support and to share the results with us. Could have been an interesting effect but yeah probably CCP wants the SKINs to look exactly the same no matter from how afar one views the ship from.

Btw fading textures are a thing in TF2 and even player made spraylogos can make use of the feature not just developer made content:

So it can be a legit and intended feature if the devs decide to add / allow it.

@Uriel_the_Flame I received another communication, after filing the bug report, from the senior GM.

Support is not saying this is or is not a bug; but, wished this to be “bug reported” so those who are in a position to make that determination, had all the info at hand.

I will amend my post with a 2nd edit, to include this info.

So, it’s still “up in the air” at the moment, 🙂

Following up my reply in this thread from October with a new batch of designs I worked on over the holiday season. Due to what seems to be a recent flooding of quick and easy monotone designs being sequenced and forcibly branded, I’ve decided to push variety a little more than I have in the past to make choices a little more specific for folks. Plenty of new design flourishes. A few new frontiers with regard to hull selection. The following collection is comprised of designs that have already sold editions. The only one not currently available via Paragon Hub is the Vindicator skin (‘Lionfish’). If you’re in the market for any of them, toss me a shout in-game.

It has been a while since I logged in and operated the new SKINNER.  
It’s fun to be able to combine the two patterns and do different things.  
I know what others have said, but the faction logo pattern is something I would like too.

Feel free to message me in game and request a skin. Many skins can be transferred to the hull of your choice. I’m an expert at that.
