# Smuggling fail, negative ISK balance

as far as I know, cargo wrapping does not prevent scanning - even from other players.

Fun fact: Eve had a smuggling skill at one point, but it never made it to the live servers (or got removed shortly after launch).

Smuggling is a half-baked mechanic. It’s like they intended to make it a thing, but got so far then forgot about it. Now it’s simply possible to just screw up and have little reward.
