Considering also that EM was busy with wars in Republic space when the Trebeka revolt started. But presumably we still started it. And provided equipment and troops before we had even heard of the revolt. And that time Gaven stubbed his toe on a chair, presumably that chair had been moved to his path by EM operatives. Ooh, and don’t even get me started with the Doriam II assassination! It MUST have been EM! I mean, EM was founded only after the assassination, but it must have been them! ---

Ok, everybody, I appreciate the defense and the character witnessing, but trust me, I got this, there’s no need to get indignant on behalf of myself or my alliance. I pretty much _already said_ that the Admiral is not off the mark, and I said in my announcement _two days ago_ that what ground support capacity we have has been directed against operations of PIE. Take it as a compliment that they have noticed. Else ---

Forensic analysis of the guns captured yesterday from Elsebeth’s Hecate and similar weapons captured in the first days of fighting has indicated with 80% certainty that the weapons came from the same source. In other words we are now almost certain that Elsebeth’s definition of “Purely Humanitarian” included gun running _before_ the shift to a military footing. ---

Because forces on the ground _aren’t_ “horribly murdering” unarmed enemies. Ardishapur is not Khanid. Adding those guns to the equation is tempting slaves who would have lived through this mess to effectively commit suicide. ---

To effectively choose their path in life, even if it leads to death. As for forces not murdering unarmed slaves, even if that was true (which we both know is nonsense, even accounting for collateral casualties) they’re still horribly murdering people who are only trying to be free. Adding more guns to that mix is decidedly humanitarian. Buys time, adds pressure both politically and in terms of public opinion, means we get _more of them off-world_ and so on. Humanitarian? Most definitely. ---
