yeah he said 2 scrams for gank i think this thing would work on fw if he ups the EHP to 6k ish … but even as it is the damage is so massive that is for sure a frig killer maybe even destroyers i mean its not even heated … i don’t have much non amarr skills but i would love to try it ---

I don’t know if it would do well in an actual PvP FW engagement since there’s no tank on it and there’s a massive hole in the EM shield resistance. For ganking, I’m thinking it’s probably better to add another scram, just to make sure the target doesn’t warp away… ---

It must be mwd+2scrams. Venture has innate warp stab power of 2 which means that 1 scram is not enough, if the venture is not 100% afk it will ´just warp away. And it needs to be mwd because of speed - afterburned is too slow = target can escape if not 100% afk and mainly, if you are already outlaw -5 or less, facpo will kill you before you get even at optimal. ---

I go with 280mm arty and 3 sebos, rather than scrams or prop mod. In a 0.9 system I can land within optimal range and alpha them, or maybe two shots if they are shield fit. In the last two days I have killed 47 Ventures. Not one has warped away. Only one has survived on approx 3% hull. ---

That never worked for me. They either survived 2 rounds easily or they warped off as it takes way too much time to reload. It also was problematic to get at the 9km optimal and I needed to rewarp and get back at nearest rock the venture was mining which gave it further time to escape. I guess I was targetting bit older players in lower security space so they all had tank… ---

Most of them have been ‘new’ or AFK, as you’d expect. I use a cloaky scout as the warp in, but if you’re solo it’s going to be trickier. ---

Personally I’ve gained 2 kill rights against failed gank attempts on my Venture…which I take for a spin now and then just for the ’ you can’t catch me’ fun of it. I’ve never been ganked while mining. In a Venture it is _easy_ to avoid…something the anti gankers don’t tell people. All the talk of noobs being unable to replace their Ventures is pure nonsense, as one can build a 160m3 laser Venture with just 300K ISK…and that Venture can pay for itself in just a single trip to the asteroid belt. ---
