I do enjoy the Agency, but the boosters we get from it have always bothered me - the blunt names and total lack of lore justification have been messing with me since they were introduced, so I went and made up some names and descriptions for them myself. Not that I expect these to be put in, but maybe @CCP_Dragon and the lore guys will like the idea~

“Agency Speed Booster I” → “Agency ‘Redclock’ Compound AR-1103”
“Agency Speed Booster II” → “Agency ‘Redclock’ Compound AR-1105”
“Agency Speed Booster III” → “Agency ‘Redclock’ Compound AR-1107”

“Agency Tank Booster I” → “Agency ‘Swiftforge’ Compound AS-1103”
“Agency Tank Booster II” → “Agency ‘Swiftforge’ Compound AS-1105”
“Agency Tank Booster III” → “Agency ‘Swiftforge’ Compound AS-1107”

“Agency Damage Booster I” → “Agency ‘Pointblaze’ Compound AP-1103”
“Agency Damage Booster II” → “Agency ‘Pointblaze’ Compound AP-1105”
“Agency Damage Booster III” → “Agency ‘Pointblaze’ Compound AP-1107”

**Descriptions** (same for all of same type):

## **‘Redclock’**

A curious and powerful alternative to standard boosters, ‘Redclock’ introduces an adaptive self-folded scaffold to a pilot’s operating mind, forcing a reduction in subspace drag and drastically increasing subwarp velocity.

Compounds with the Agency identifier are dropped at all locations falling under the current open contract upon their marking, and are a bleak omen to whomever may inhabit the sites. With rumors suggesting possible connections to certain ancient technologies, the Agency’s compound distribution is thought by some to be as much an experiment as it is an incentive for capsuleers to partake in the public contract.

* * *

## **‘Swiftforge’**

![AgencySwiftforge](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/3X/9/8/9895134fd8cbcaee69a504abba7dc4fb14718564.png)
A bizarre compound, ‘Swiftforge’ imprints a self-folded ancillary platform optimized for rapid and meticulous adaptations to restoration paths and overload management into a pilot’s brain, drastically boosting repair potential for both shield and armor systems.

Wholly incomparable to any standard booster, ‘Pointblaze’ tightly refocuses a pilot’s mind along a path set within the compound’s quantum structure, providing refined supplementary calculations and improving heat management for weapons in order to drastically increase potential damage output.

The new buzzword-enhanced Agency booster descriptions can be previewed on the test server.

@CCP_Delegate_Zero, please take a look at the following tweaks and suggestions:

> This ‘Overclocker’ lace hugely increases the efficiency of navigational processing

Please remove or change the word “hugely” - it is the word-choice of a group of excited fans talking about the item, where I think this is intended to be a corporate buzzword-filled product description. “Significantly” is a more common word in this context, but is not really necessary. Let the reader move on to the other buzzwords more quickly, lol.

> This ‘Pyrolancea’ lace enhances neural centers involved in calibration of munitions payloads and weapons energy profiles on the fly during high-intensity combat. The increase in the processing available to the capsuleer means that **_calibrations solutions_** can be tailored more finely and results in _ **better** _ damage yields against any given target.

- I think this follows up on the word “calibration” used in the first sentence, but it does not work well with “solution.” In a weapons and military context, “targeting solution” is better.

- Secondly, while “better damage” is not wrong, “higher damage” is what I would expect in this context.

> This ‘Hardshell’ lace attaches to synaptic pathways involved in _ **finetuning** _ field control at various energy levels, _ **this allows** _ an increase in shield booster efficiency and, through the low-energy fields that direct **_nanorepairers_** throughout a ship’s armor **_belt_** ,

- “finetuning” is not commonly used as a compound word, “fine-tuning” with a hyphen or just a space between the two words, works better.

- “this allows” is not wrong, but could be consensed to “allowing” (or alternately, “_permitting_” )

- “nanorepairers” → “nano-repairers”. Note that “nano-assemblers” is used in the description of armor repair modules.

- “armor belt” - I can’t recall reading the word “belt” used in the context of a ship’s armor before. But everyone is familiar with “armor plating”, which I think would work better in this context.

Hey @CCP_Delegate_Zero and @CCP_Dragon - I’m seeing the new names and descriptions on SISI now 🙂 I’m just a tad bit sad about the ‘in quotes’ names changing from mine, but I’m super happy to see the change happen, and I’ve got just a couple of suggestions:

* * *

**Names:**

> Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ DB3 Dose I → **Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ Dose DB3**
> Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ DB5 Dose II → **Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ Dose DB5**
> Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ DB7 Dose III → **Agency ‘Pyrolancea’ Dose DB7**

As is, the names for the boosters are just a bit overstuffed, listing the percentage bonus (like regular hardwirings), along with a 1, 2, or 3 - reformatting to be like the above would make the names more coherent and quick-to-understand.

* * *

**Descriptions:**

The descriptions for the boosters are nicely done, but there are a few adjustments that I think could further polish the last paragraph tacked onto each booster’s details:

Original:

> Compounds with the Agency identifier are being seeded into target locations identified by the mysterious network ahead of sponsored operations. Entities occupying the target sites often collect the Agency’s support drops themselves even if they realize what they must portend. The Agency’s novel method of supporting capsuleer operations is thought to be as much an experiment as it is an incentive for freelance pilots to take up the public contracts

Changed to:

> Compounds with the Agency identifier are seeded into locations marked by the mysterious network ahead of sponsored operations, with entities occupying the target sites often collecting the support drops themselves and taking full advantage of their foreboding delivery. This novel approach to supporting capsuleer operations is thought by some to be as much an experiment as it is an incentive for freelance pilots to participate in the Agency’s public contracts.

> **(Diff)**

Nice!

I think the “overclocker” and “pyro” icons are fine, but the “hardshell” icon doesn’t work for me. I think it should look more durable, have more metal around it. It incorporates the characteristics of Blue Pill and Exile - I see the blue, perhaps add some yellow?

For the Pyrolancea change, I am reminded of how challenging it can be to notice that something is _missing_. Adding the word “payload” in front of “calibration solution” tells us what is being calibrated and solved, fixing the problem 🙂

For the Hardshell, I like the change from “armor belt” to “armor layers” - instead of my suggestion “armor plating.” The word “layers” is independent of the method or source of armor.

I would like to again call attention to the phrase “nano-repairers” because “nano-assemblers” is used in the description of armor repair modules. I think this should be consistent. Want to change armor repair module description?

@CCP_Delegate_Zero, @CCP_Dragon, I’ve run into some player confusion regarding the “overclocker” name; on first glance some players will assume this gives a CPU bonus. Please consider adopting a different speed-of-movement related word.

Also, bumping the concerns in my previous post:

- “nano-repairers” conflicts with “nano-assemblers” phrase used by armor repair modules.
- “hardshell” icon looks delicate, compared to the other two.

I loved your OP, OP, but I thought the “swift” in swiftforge might be similarly confusing and make people think it was the speed booster. Frankly, not all of EVE implants and boosters have names that make perfect sense, tho, so it’s okay if they’re a little unclear at first, people will get used to them in any event.

Great work, Uriel and Circumstantial, and CCP Dragon/lore guys!
