Small weapons are rank 1 skills and take ~4 days to train. Level 4 gunnery support skills take another 7-10 days, and you only need to train them once. An Alpha pilot with those skills in place should be pushing 600+ DPS from a Catalyst. Destroyer skills themselves don’t even boost DPS for many of the hulls (e.g. Catalyst).

It sounds like you’re skipping something critical, like the entire Surgical Strike skill. Or you’re not maximizing damage. You should have a damage rig and 2 damage mods on every fit for this purpose.

I think its so long since you were a noob that you’ve forgotten just how many skills need to be assembled, and how long they take. An alpha ganker pilot who was _only_ interested in flying Catalysts no doubt could get to 600DPS quickly. But I’m skilling for Gallente ships, Caldari ships, Amarr ships…turrets, missiles, rockets, yada yada. That means pushing some skills to the top, and others by definition come later. Heck, my 14 days worth of Missiles V skills before I can get to Heavy Missiles for my Caracal is like 12th item on the list.

The DPS on my ships is rapidly increasing…which I know as I name my trial fittings by DPS. So my Thrasher has gone from 290 DPS to 380 DPS in a few days. It’s worth adding that the actual _fittings_ are the best ones ( including rigs, etc ), and many that were advised here. But its the skills that bring those fittings up to the actual high DPS.

The ‘delay’ is largely a result of going for as wide a combat skills range as possible…not just flying Catalysts.

And yes…Surgical Strike was only on level 2…I had all 5 levels added to the queue but they’d slipped down when I moved other stuff up. But they are back at the top now 🙂

I routinely start fresh characters. I’ve started 4 new ones just in the past year.

You’re likely not prioritizing skills properly. There are skills that give a significant benefit per time invested. You should take something like Rapid Firing and Surgical Strike to level 4 ASAP (after the basics are done), and then leave level 5 for later, instead of training skills one at a time in their entirety.

Getting T2 guns is arguably **the** biggest DPS gain you can have.

The priority should be something like:

All relevant gunnery support skills at 3
Ship skill (if relevant) at 3
(all in less \<1 day combined)

Weapon Upgrades 4
Ship skill (if relevant) at 4
(~3-4 days)

Gunnery, Rapid Firing, Surgical Strike at 4
(~5 days)

T2 weapons with specialization at 3
(~5-6 days)

Other gunnery support skills at 4
Specialization at 4
Ship skill and Surgical Strike at 5

Also you should never train for multiple races in the beginning unless you want to use some kind of specific pirate ship.

One has to add in the loss of security status…about 0.25 for every gank, and the cost of tags or time spent ratting to get that status back up again. I could easily have ganked an abandoned Ibis yesterday…just sitting there in space…but it just wasn’t worth it, just to get one kill record. To me that’s the real cost…not the ISK.

Imagine caring about sec status LOL.

I have a load of alts yes. I also have others playing with me. We work as a small group to accomplish some large tasks. We enjoy each other’s company and have fair loot splits. It’s a lot of fun.

Of course I am capable of accomplishing most of what I want to do solo but that isn’t always the case.

> [@Dracvlad](#):
>
> I don’t have any income from this activity unlike you, it is a statement of fact.

Yeah it’s very obvious that anti-gankers wouldn’t be making much, if any ISK from anti-ganking. Depending on skills / characters you’re looking at 25m to 36m. Compare that to what the typical gank fleet costs if they’re trying to kill a larger target. Yes, there’s not much room to complain and point out cost.

You have all the mechanics to go toe to toe with gankers yet you limit yourself with excuses. You absolutely can make isk anti-ganking. You can make enough to cover the cost of this thrasher fleet + some.

The point is that again you’re a defeatist and you don’t even try. You contribution to anti-ganking is to whine and spread misinformation.

> [@Dracvlad](#):
>
> I never said it was a change from anything, I am merely explaining the impact of security status, kill rights etc. on this activity called AG

If you are going criminal to shoot a wreck and deny gankers loot why should you not get killrights or have to deal with tagging up if you don’t wanna be -sec?

These aren’t even real hurdles. They are mechanics and part of the gameplay that we have to deal with daily.

Your hypocrisy lies in the fact that you ■■■■■ about CCP buffing wreck EHP as if it was solely done for gankers. You complain about how now it cost 2 tornados, which is true… but you picked a very expensive option for doing so. It wasn’t until I pointed out thrashers that your argument and defensive stance shifted to, “but muh killrights!” and “but muh security status!”

Let’s just be real… We will continue to adapt while you just complain and lobby for the “one more nerf”.

Well yes, but this is explaining why AG does not have many people doing it.

LOL, it was ignored for years until we started ganking wrecks and then gankers took it over and complained and it got changed.

That was one hell of a nerf for AG, gankers could not adapt or die and they got a nerf to continue to ISK farm, makes your adapt or die comment rather hollow and worthless. Just saying…

PS You look like you are typing another epic rant, looks like you gave up, good, it was not worth the effort.

PPS The Golem and the Legion 8th Feb, I appreciate those kills, nice

…lol. Yeah I choose to be social in an MMO. If I was anti-gankingI’d have the capacity to accomplish what we’ve been talking about by myself. I imagine that instead of that I’d incorporate others in and teach them what I know. Kinda like what I do with ganking.

Good example is one of the guys we have gank with us. He doesn’t multibox like crazy. He humbly fields 2 accounts but is able to help with scouting, looting, and/or DPS all while recording high-quality footage. He gets an equal loot split too!

Im pointing out your aversion to have to deal with the game mechanics we have to deal with. If you want to be a wreck ganker then you gotta be willing to play like we do.

> [@Dracvlad](#):

There’s just as much reason to do it / not to do it on the gankers side.

Funny CCP never mentioned Highsec ganking. The CSM never mentioned it either. In fact what was mentioned was Nullsec battlefields unable to be looted by the victor.

Honestly other than Crimewatch 2.0, the wardec changes, and then the bump timer (which was actually spun by CCP to help those
In Nullsec anoms being stuck inside geometry) things don’t just get done and changed for Highsec. We all know that CCP changes things on their own time and it’s not because there’s a public outcry.

I am just pointing out the impacts on AG. There are only two multi-boxing AG and one of them is on a long break. The other has largely found better things to do, but a week ago I was in Uedama with him.

I cannot fund multiple accounts by AG, you can fund multiple accounts by ganking…, it is not difficult to understand…

Funny that they actually did, in that the DCU bonus was applied to Freighters because of this. CCCP Fozzie is on the forum on record.

If you were any good at it, you could sell mining permits, and protect people who pay. You could add elements of a protection racket (or lawful taxation), and demand that people pay. If you choose not to, that is your CHOICE.

If the market does not reward you. then you have a clear indicator that the market does not value your choice. Generally, all you do is post in the forums. If profit is your goal, it’s time to review your business plan and adapt to economic realities.

Life gives you opportunity - it doesn’t guarantee success.

Yes. Imagine choosing to play the game with others instead of being anti-social. I have the capacity to do most of all this solo, but instead choose to play with others because it is more fun and easier on me. Everyone has equal opportunity to multibox as I do, even anti-gankers.

Looting of course. Jesus Drac, come on lol. I’ll throw you a bone here since that tends to be needed before you have some revelation…

You see when gankers go criminal in their T2 Catalysts the wrecks will be blue. This means anyone can freely loot them. While there is RNG at play you can most definitely make ISK just being a vulture, or leech if you will.

Yes you will have to deal with the risk of having your ganker wreck looters shot at by those that wish you harm, but it’s part of it!

You then take the loot and sell it, and then you can afford the thrashers you need.

Granted I’ve just told you some deep dark secrets that are very secret and honestly it’s a good thing because it’s not obvious at all. I did so knowing that there’s another excuse incoming and you’re too much of a whiner to actually do it.

I cannot speak for others but I do not primarily play solo.

In fact we’re talking in Discord right now about when we’re ganking next. I think we’ve decided that it’s going to be Wednesday @ 4:00-5:00 GMT. Please make arrangements to be there and anti-gank us Drac

Starting up these accounts was expensive but the funds didn’t come from ganking. I’m also able to generate income using my accounts in ways other than ganking.

I’m telling you that you can afford the gank ships you need to gank wrecks just by looting ganker wrecks.

How you do that is up to you. You can either:

- Play social and have others gank wrecks with you

- Multibox it on your own

Pick one. Yes I know first option is a tough one because no one wants to anti-gank with you. I wonder why?

Whose we?

I **literally** offered Dracvlad **billions of ISK** to grief me out of the game, and it took him like a _week_ to come up with the clever face-saving reversal strategy of making it seem like he’s the one who’s challenging me, yet for like the past two days all he’s done is complain about not having enough of an in-game income stream to sock it to those mean griefers. 🤔

But you can and do.

The funds game from scam bumper ganking, you were able to afford a Titan if I recall correctly.

Personally I think looting the main loot is better.

I find that my ability to solo gank is irrelevant. Your argument seems to exist because somehow an anti-ganker can’t have 26 accounts as I do.

My accounts don’t even fund themselves through ganking.

No, I gave all my liquid and assets away sometime in 2019 before I had these accounts.

Of course it is probably better to get the main loot. I’m telling you that bare minimum… just being a leech around a gank fleet you can afford the ships you need.

Pure gold.

When we are discussing gankers the cost of ship is irrelevant and meaningless and not an adequate punishment. The security status loss is dismissed as pointless and “not even worth talking about as it’s easily fixed”

Yet the minute the shoe is on the other foot it’s “oh I think you are undervaluing the cost of the ship. It’s actually quite significant you know” and “oh my god have you seen the cost of tags”

One post that just wipes out months of posting nonsense complaints in thread after thread.

I love life
