That is the fear, and honestly if we can’t stop it outright, it’s in everyone’s collective interest to slow it down.

I don’t think any of us can stop whats to come. This shits been boiling up for years and some folks who are in charge of our governments are out for blood.

I don’t trust CONCORD as much as the next Capsuleers, but I honestly think, whatever their plan is, the formation of Exordium may be a desperate ideal to form one safe place in the cluster. I’m for it and I will fight for Exoridum if it means giving every person, every life, and hell at this rate, any sentient bot, a chance to live a life free from the conflicts of the big four.

I’m not sure whats in store, and I’m hearing rumors left and right over comm router chatter and station bars.

Something is about to happen in 5 standard days.

I get it,

everyone has their grudges

everyone feels they’re doing the right thing

everyone wants retribution to right the wrongs

But its still the same damn thing, innocent people are gonna get caught in the crossfire and die because of the decision of the few in power.

I don’t got the answer but I’ll do what I can to try protect those I can. I hope the human spirit can endur whatever unspeakable hell is coming soon.

Im reading through some of the old posts and I hesitate to ask given current events of black radiation at Jita Gates.

Can Particle, Baryonic, and radiation weapons bypass traditional ship defense? I understand the precursor Triglavians use exotic weapons.

But in all my years as a pilot, I never thought of simply using particles and radiation as a weapon to simply kill the pilot and crew of a ship or at worst scramble the electornics of drones and remote vessels.

Lasers can be powered by gamma, infrared, microwave, multifrequency, radio, standard, ultraviolet and X-ray crystals, Triglavian entropic disintegrators can use exotic baryons as ammunitions and there are also many types of particle blasters that use antimatter, iridium, iron, lead, plutonium, thorium, tungsten and uranium as charges.

I suppose by that statement. I need to go back to community college and learn thermodynamics and kinetics.

All of these are just systems to dispense kinetic energy. Its just choosing the method.

I was going to add that although all these weapons use particles and radiation, things comparable to what is emitted by scrutinizers, there are to my knowledge no other technologies that can kill people directly inside a ship or a station.

I should point out that, ultimately, even targeted stations were destroyed by the scrutinizer’s laser.

And after all this time. No official body counts. No official loss of civillian life or military life has been out to the public from any of the empires or CONCORD. It is as if we all just moved on from our entire world being invaded and on the brink of destruction. The drifters are still prevalent in Tabbetzuer.

Do we even understand both the drifters and sleepers weapon systems? Their hulls are hard enough to crack without pelting them with direct alpha artillery fire.

It is possible to create smartbombs from Sleeper relics and knowledge about their technologies. Furthermore, initiatives of the four empires to create weapons based on Sleeper technology led to the creation of tactical destroyers in YC116 and YC117.

Then what would we expect with a Drifter derivative vessel or weapons? My understanding with sleeper derivatives, at least from a manufacturing point. Is that these vessels and platforms have an adaptive feature designed into their hulls to change for any situation. No two sleeper-based ship will be the same. And they’re classified as “T3” within the manufacturing common speak.

We already have access to Reaper superweapons, created for a reverse-engineering project of Drifter technologies, which subsequently led to the creation of Lance superweapons.

Strategic cruisers also incorporate components created from efforts to reverse-engineer Sleeper and Drifter technologies.

There are theories circulating about the Angel Cartel that their ships are reverse-engineered versions of Jovian designs. If this is true, which I believe is very likely, perhaps they contain technologies similar to those of the Drifters. Furthermore, rumors suggest they created the Sarathiel dreadnought-class ship through research conducted on Drifter technologies during the Drifter Crisis, which also seems very plausible to me.

Perhaps studies of the hyperspace network will lead to the development of new technologies focused on wormhole and fracture generation and the manipulation of space-time in general to wage war.

This statement from the Triglavians regarding the appearance of hyperspace fractures across New Eden following their experiments on Azdaja Redoubt’s Drifter gate could indicate that they voluntarily destabilized the cluster’s space-time to make it more dangerous and reveal the “fitness” of its citizens.

> _All Ancient Enemy Azdaja must face extirpation. All tools of the Ancient Enemy Azdaja must face extirpation. Only then can the ancient Domains be brought within the Flow of Vyraj. Only then is advanced-time stability within the Domains of Bujan istina. Fitness brings stability, proving reveals fitness, risk guarantees proving._

[Source.](https://universe.eveonline.com/new-eden-news/fractures-bring-both-profits-and-unrest-to-new-eden)

However, I don’t think they would be reckless enough to risk causing a disaster of this magnitude, especially given their clear and superior expertise in space-time alteration technology and their recent attempts to get closer to the international community of New Eden.

I must admit that I am very surprised by the idea that altering space-time could somehow allow computer data manipulation even when this data has not been inscribed into space-time itself.

I don’t believe it to be the method of execution, rather the method of bypass instead. The attacker would, I assume, need familiarity with the financial systems in question, and may merely be using this form of hyperspace manipulation to act as a tunnel or bridge that would obfuscate their location.

An old adage comes to mind that I saw scribbled on a chatboard one day… “Good luck! I’m behind seven proxies!” Perhaps this manipulation is the proxy connection, allowing attack via the gate hardware?

I guess what I’m not really understanding is what the point is. Our FTL communications are, for the most part, already routed through stargates. Using the hyperspace network just to plant communications packets for market manipulation seems needlessly complicated to me.

I don’t know, I just don’t think the State is giving us the whole story here.

As it has been more than a year since the end of the Drifter Crisis, it is time to review the current situation, especially considering recent military developments within the four empires.

* * *

**General news regarding the consequences of the Drifter Crisis.**

- The rifts between the Abyss and New Eden that appeared during the two escalations of the Drifter-Triglavian war of YC128 closed shortly after the conflicts de-escalated twice, but those that appeared during the Drifter Crisis are an exception as they have not yet closed despite the fact that the conflict has very likely de-escalated on their side following the apparent loss of the Drifter. Either the Triglavians are not trying to close these rifts because they are focused on other matters, or because they could be useful to them, or they are unable to do so due to potentially really extensive damage inflicted on the Abyss’ space-time.
- Tabbetzur is still occupied by seemingly deeply “entrenched” Drifters. There is no publicly known sign that the situation is changing despite the new incentives of the Minmatar military in the system.
- To my knowledge, no publicly announced measures have yet been taken to continue the assaults on the Drifters and the hives are still guarded by some of them, although I suspect they are now using guerrilla tactics. It’s difficult to obtain new information on this subject.

**New regarding recent military development.**

- The Minmatar Republic has announced a campaign to reclaim ancient Starkmanir knowledge, which could lead to a better understanding of New Eden “astral topography” and possibly the discovery of new Phased Fields in high-security space. It is surprising news given that the ancient Minmatar Empire was as far as we know overall less advanced than the current Minmatar Republic while the Republic’s communication suggest they were more advanced than us in the study of space-time topography to the point that their rediscovery, combined with our knowledge about the hyperspace network, could lead to the discovery of enough Phased Fields to “bring about a new era of prosperity for the Republic”. And it seems that even the other empires do not yet have access to Phased Fields in high-sec, unless they are hiding it well. Did the Starkmanir discover this knowledge through precursor relics, or were they simply very ingenious for their time? Could they have become even more advanced over time thanks to this research? In any case, this could allow us to better master Drifter technology if this old knowledge is indeed that advantageous. Furthermore, this could allow us to understand why high security systems don’t seem to be able to contain Phased Fields unlike low and null security systems.

- The Amarr Empire possesses Drifter technology research facilities within the warzone. It appears they have transported Drifter structures similar to Scrutinizers and Vigilant Dreamers from Sanctified Vidette to their territories. Certain of these sites are studying “effects” emitted by researched Drifter technologies which affect and enhance ship capabilities but pose no danger to them or humans within the affected area. It seems some of these sites have suffered containment breaches, leading to the leak of these effects into space near these facilities.

Since July 8, the Arataka Research Consortium has observed changes in the combat and deployment patterns of Drifter forces within the hive systems they formerly controlled and across New Eden, and most notably concerning the fact that Drifter units deployed in hive systems and high-security systems no longer appear to be using their Doomsday Weapons.

Here is an interesting and good thread detailing these changes.

> [@\[ARC\] Reporting abnormality in Drifter Primary Strike weapons](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/arc-reporting-abnormality-in-drifter-primary-strike-weapons/514506):
>
> Greetings fellow capsuleers and viewers of the IGS, I am making this report on behalf of the Arataka Research Consortium (ARC) and with its consent. I have led a Drifter Hive Fleet on behalf of ARC on the 4th of July, YC 128. During this operation, the fleet entered the Liberated Barbican Hive wormhole and succesfully got in position to engage the Drifter and sleeper forces at the Drifter Hive. During the engagement the fleet dealt with the Hikanta Tyrannos and 3 additional Drifter Battleships…

I also put forward hypotheses regarding the potential reasons for these shifts in Drifter behavior.

> [@\[ARC\] Reporting abnormality in Drifter Primary Strike weapons](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/arc-reporting-abnormality-in-drifter-primary-strike-weapons/514506/18):
>
> All these reports are very interesting. Some explorers sent by my corporation have also noticed these changes. We mainly believe this is a new combat and manufacturing strategy adopted by the Drifters to cope with their new situation. Having lost systems, and key infrastructures within them, we theorize that they have had to adapt and develop guerrilla tactics focused on rapid, efficient strikes, while also scaling back Doomsday Weapons production, possibly due to a loss of industrial capacity…
