Word of the day: Zanshin > **[Zanshin](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zanshin)** > > Zanshin (Japanese: 残心) is a state of awareness; of relaxed alertness, in Japanese martial arts. A literal translation of zanshin is "remaining mind". > In several martial arts, zanshin refers specifically to the body's posture after a technique is executed. > In kyūdō, zanshin means the body posture after the loosing of an arrow; the posture is intended to reflect the higher meaning of zanshin, which is a mental aspect maintained before, during, and after an action. > In karate, zanshin is the state... Close enough, Mr Frostpacker. I wonder if the discoverer of that comet is a lady-of-negotiable-affection-who-could’ve-decided-to-turn-astronomer? 🤔 Also, these lyrics suddenly came to my mind this morning for some unknown reason: I am unwritten Can’t read my mind I’m undefined I’m just beginning The pen’s in my hand Ending unplanned Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten I break tradition Sometimes my tries are outside the lines We’ve been conditioned to not make mistakes But I can’t live that way Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins ---

Another day, another temporary farewell… night night lovelies! Also: you say so…? > **[Boeing broke deal, subject to prosecution in 737 MAX crashes, U.S. says](https://www.seattletimes.com/business/justice-dept-to-charge-boeing-in-the-737-max-crashes-finds-it-broke-deal/)** > > The U.S. Justice Department will pursue criminal charges against Boeing following two fatal 737 MAX crashes more than five years ago. So far the only thing improved around Boeing has been the grim amusement provided by everything surfacing as being wrong with Boeing in general and specially the Charlotte assembly plant from hell (as in, in recents news, faking inspections of the linkage between wings and body, because… reasons?).
