…there’s no way that headline could be misunderstood… 😅 And, it’s my beddy time already. Nighties lovelies! Also: Blue Origin successfully performed their 15th test flight of the New Shepard rocket [![](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/8/6/1/8619e2e92f83092a466d83afd817e6f2e7192074.jpeg "Replay - New Shepard Mission NS-15 Webcast") ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=domwsgorRW0) They also performed a crew boarding rehearsal before launch and later the crew entered the capsule after landing and made a capsule exit rehearsal. With these successful tests Blue Origin is getting closer the day when people will be able to pay about USD 200,000 for a ticket to space and back Earth in 10 minutes. ---

Heh, I tried to focus on what’s not so obvious of the trade. Leverage with the companies (which customers won’t have, because they buy once and you as an agency will buy many times) and the customer feeling that by dealing with you and not the supplier of the service, you will get your hands dirty for him if something goes wrong is part of the trade. And now I’m off to bed… nighties lovelies! Also: SpaceX just got another juicy contract from NASA… [https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/as-artemis-moves-forward-nasa-picks-spacex-to-land-next-americans-on-moon](https://www.nasa.gov/press-release/as-artemis-moves-forward-nasa-picks-spacex-to-land-next-americans-on-moon) The thing is, it’s a closed deal contract, and any overexpenses will be pocketed by SpaceX… which might be risky if troubles arise in the development process. Also today I read a intresting opinion piece about how large it is, actually, the market for the kind of superheavy rockets being developed. Since NASA is developing both Orion and SLS, SpaceX’s Starship might just be redundant if they can’t find a public contract to use it. What kind of private enterprise needs so badly to launch 150 tons into LEO as to pay SpaceX for it? Is there any private money in superheavy launches…? ---

Well, it’s still pending to see. Currently the heaviest satellites are like 5 or 6 tons and they’re launched maybe once in 3 to 5 years, so it’s not as if there’s a queue of 30 5-tons satellites waiting to be launched by a single superheavy rocket lifting 150 tons at once. Elon Musk talks about the Moon and Mars, but those would be public contracts and NASA already is paying for two heavy systems and they’re likely to want to use them once finished. Anyway, we’ll see. First SpaceX must finish developing a functional Spaceship rocket. And now I’m off to bed… nighties lovelies! Also: I LOLed so hard at this xkcd… > **[AI Methodology](https://xkcd.com/2451/)** > > We've learned that weird spacing and diacritics in the methodology description are apparently the key to good research; luckily, we've developed an AI tool to help us figure out where to add them. The Micro-Soft Altair BASIC 3.2 source is now available to download offering a chance to experience the interpreter which was first released back in 1975 for the Altair 8800 and subsequent S-100 bus computers. It was Microsoft’s first product (as Micro-Soft), distributed by MITS under a contract. Altair BASIC was the start of the Microsoft BASIC product range. > > **Micro-Soft Altair BASIC 3.2 source :** > > _– Micro-Soft Altair BASIC 3.2 (4K) – Annotated Disassembly_ > _– Copyright 1975, Bill Gates, Paul Allen, Monte Davidoff_ > _– Source: [http://altairbasic.org/](http://altairbasic.org/) compiled by Reuben Harris_ > _– Additional cleanup, relocation by Charles Mangin, March, 2019_ > > _“When Bill Gates and Paul Allen read about the Altair in the January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics, they understood that the price of computers would soon drop to the point that selling software for them would be a profitable business. [### Trial balloon - Wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Trial\_balloon](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_balloon) ## Trial balloon ### Description A trial balloon, or kite-flying, is information sent out to the media in order to observe the reaction of an audience. It can be used by companies sending out press releases to judge reaction by customers, or it can be used by politicians who deliberately leak information on a policy change under consideration. [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_balloon) – `Note that, while the development of the interpreter was real, the level at which the development was advanced was not given, since that is a subject which is not false, but that is a subject which the programmer has to analyze to know which steps he wants to do next.` `Additionally, since they already had done the analysis of the market and the potential development return, the proposal was valid, however, they needed the resources to pay the programmer, which, are not mentioned.` – Note to Editors: **Ed Roberts** was the **founder** of **MITS** and inventor of the Altair 8800, widely credited as the world’s first personal computer.
