Today I received the protable HDD as expected and have been moving stuff from my HDD to it… work is far form doen because today my HDD was in a grumpy mood and transfer speed has been anywhere between 126 mb/s and 355 kb/s (and even 0 when it got stuck for several minutes). Hope tomorrow I will finish the job and then will start thinking about what to do with the HDD. If it performs well for stuff like watching films or just playing videogames stored in it, will keep it until it fails, but if its daily performance degrades as much as it does when transfering files, I’ll have to consider buying a new one… Nighties lovelies! The goal is to build a mathematical model (or formula) that defines y as a function of the x variable. Once, we built a statistically significant model, it’s possible to use it for predicting future outcome on the basis of new x values. Consider that, we want to evaluate the impact of advertising budgets of three medias (youtube, facebook and newspaper) on future sales. This example of problem can be modeled with linear regression.
