That’s a downright lie. People concerned about the impact of mass meat production on the methane levels in the atmosphere and their feedback with other greenhouse gasses talk about increasing vegetal protein and reducing animal protein. The “they want us to eat bugs” is both a lie and bull sheete: mass production and consumption of arthropods would still be far more energy intensive than just eating vegetal proteins from sources like pulses. Turning the Sun into plant then animal then animal again takes more energy than the animal just eating the plant. ---
