Zaera doesn not speak Turkish but is reminded of an exam she sat . Afterwards the invigilator came through with a look of shock on her face. I was thinking, boy I must have done badly. He goes from London to Scotland and back to London. What makes it even more impressive is that it is not a hybrid, nor an economy car. On the contrary, it has a “gas guzzler” V8 engine! Here’s the most astounding part: My current car is a V4 engine, diesel, 2007 Citroen C4 and is considered one of the best fuel efficient cars of that year and it can only go 700km with a single full tank! 🫠 ---

No, No. You MUST do it on a bicycle. I am impressed that @Chad_Frostpacker has heard of Joan of Arc as most Australians aren’t too good at history. I bet though that he thinks Gandhi’s first name was Goosey Goose. ---

Washington, DC August 1942 At one point, my grand-grandfather shuffled three jobs to keep afloat a family of 6 after my grand-grandmother died from tuberculosis at the age of 48. About a year and a half later, my grandmother’s older sister died at 19 after what now would be called major depression and anorexia nervosa. She “was always sad” and “barely ate enough” until she was “a bag of bones” and then winter came, a nasty cold, pneumonia on one lung, then both, dead in early spring. The then eldest daughter took on housekeeping along with the younger sister so they took care of grand-grandpa and the youngest sibling, the boy. My grandmother took a job, ilegally since she was too young at 12, the others were 15 (made the same day as the eldest died, my grand aunt never celebrated any birthdays), 11 and 5. I will never forget where do I come from, lest I start thinking wealthy people know or give a sh¡t of what is like being poor so let’s cut on taxes and social services. ---
