My grandmother was one of the original Rosie the Riveters. She worked in the Philadelphia Naval Yard during world war 2. In fact she was the one of the first ones that they were looking at for the poster of Rosie. ---

Buildings are standing on material from previous such events. In Poland we have people building in such places in mountains too, can be a nice little stream, but it can become a roaring river. Sometimes, once in 100 years or so, so much rain falls that they lose their stuff in rapid flooding. ---
