Since Halloween is just around the corner, the insect-protein math actually opens the door to one of the most fascinating (and slightly skin-crawling) concepts in modern food science—perfect for a spooky holiday discussion! **The “vampire” Diet of the Future** Insects are often touted as the ultimate survival food for a dystopian future because they require almost no water or space compared to cattle. - **The Pitch:** Massive insect farms are essentially bio-reactors turning waste into pure energy. - **The Discussion Starter:** If humanity ever colonizes Mars or survives a sci-fi apocalypse, our traditional farms will be gone. Would you rather live on 3D-printed paste made from underground bug hives, or go completely synthetic/plant-based? ---
