**Your great-great-great-great great-great-great-grandpa had a quick hand and quicker eye.** New research led by the University of California, anthropology, reveals that archery technology in the Andes dates back to approximately 7,000 years ago. This earlier emergence aligns with societal shifts towards village life and expanded trade networks. The study suggests that the adoption of bow-and-arrow technology may have been instrumental in establishing new social norms and institutions. ![1000004270](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/2/a/3/2a37d25dab3ae636eaf706997897d9a0bbfef8d7.jpeg) _A hunter in the Andes, Twine the Flex, lines up a bowshot in what is considered the very first iteration of the bow and arrow circa 7,000 BCE_ ![1000004269](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/3/1/f/31fc74137bf6a8d1385ecf41a493bd9fe5b68513.webp) ---

Sharing positive experiences such as a gank, is known to increase happiness, and life satisfaction, above and beyond what experiencing them alone can give. Happiness seems to spread like a virus; those who interact with and are ganked by happy people such as Zaera, are likely to become happier in the near future, and this spread has been observed up to three degrees of separation. Happy people also tend to be more extroverted and have stronger romantic and other social relationships ![laugh watercolor](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/f/8/d/f8d55d6c9ba2ec7adb7f7310269b481c050d6673.jpeg) [Previous page](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/the-like-and-get-likes-thread-iv/465437.md?page=48) [Next page](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/the-like-and-get-likes-thread-iv/465437.md?page=50)
