Hmmm… you know that’s not healthy, right. 28 alcohol units it’s 280 grams or 355 milliliters, like filling a typical 33 cl soda can with ethanol and drinking it (and then some more). It’s a lot of a toxic substance, toxic as in it damages your cells, your organs and your body. We can deal with it, but it puts a lot of strain on all organs involved in removing it and any cells hit by it. But you know it’s not healthy. And maybe it’s not the person you should be… ---

God? Any gods. Having been brought up as a catholic altar boy, those manners stick with you. While you all can figure out, I’m hardly religious and would burn you down in the game in a heartbeat. That being said, I asked a friend who I like to poke as much as the forums what is today’s replacement for moral guidance? I’m not trying to promote any religion, please don’t get me wrong as I can find fault in all of them. My simple question is where can youth find moral guidance these days? ---

To be honest about it. The place for a youngster is going to be taught is in the home. As it will be there that, if the family has any sort of moral compass, the child most likely immulate. While the boy scouts, being an alter boy, or an organization such as big brother can teach and demonstrate what a moral compass looks like. In the end it is in the home that will most likely shape a person’s moral compass. It is any wonder kids these days seem to have no idea of what a moral compass even looks like… I am not talking strictly a religious/conservative/liberal home. I am talking in a broad manner. Ity would seem to this 60+ old man that it is not about the changing landscape of moral. Morals are always changing. Ie. It was acceptable in my youth to use ethnic slurs as a punchline. Today morality says that is a no no. Probably for the best. At the same time the moral compass for many, child and adult, seems to be lacking for many. I know even as young man that was somewhat true then. It just seems to the numbers of people that do not have any or not much of a moral compass seems to have grown. We can argue whether politics, religion or lack of, or some other reason is the cause. At the same time I think that any reason is just an excuse to not adhere to a moral compass. SMH ---

It’s the age of the Faith of Me and why I am not happier because I don’t consume X, Y and Z. Anything else is an afterthought, and they’re coming after it since you could be consuming instead. At least until Reality comes for its toll and tells us in gory detail why you don’t mess with atmospheric chemistry.
