The really big change was the range, before you could boost while transporting ore, now it has a range. I think it got a bit of a buff at that time but really because they broke the hauler miner dynamic it was hardly a compensation.

I can see it work!

**Mini moon drill**
Equippable on hull type: Orca
_Activate to break loose an asteroid-sized chunk of a moon and drag it into position in the course of a twelve hour cycle time. The ship is locked in place and unable to warp for that duration. Bring something to drink._

You will be at the rate you’re going but I suspect you’re one of those people who actually hate the game and those are the last people that CCP should be listening to. Like crabs in a bucket if someone is trying to climb out you’re that crab that pulls them back.

CCP to do their jobs, yes. Like I said before, all power creep is not the same and its not always a bad thing. Some things just aren’t what they should be. Barges and exhumers are tedious, slow, and extremely vulnerable. It isnt that the orca is ahead, they are behind. Your perspective is the opposite, and I respect that. You’re flat wrong though. Those ships are a pain in the ass to use as intended and the ones that mine relatively quickly are incredibly easy to gank even in 1.0. They are severely lacking. Their shortcomings are the reason they aren’t utilized more often.

I hate to keep using the same example, but no amount of nerfing assault frigs was going to get me out of an enyo and into a taranis. Except in the hypothetical case that they literally made them useless, which did not happen.

That’s a matter of perspective and both of those perspectives can be correct.

It all depends on the question: is the amount of ore entering the game OK? Do we need more or less ore to enter the game to fulfil current demands?

As there is no shortage of ships on the market, even while we’re in the shortage phase, we can conclude that the amount of ore entering the game is fine. Therefore the yield in general does not need to be increased.

That means that of the two perspectives mentioned earlier the correct perspective is: the barges are fine as they are and the Orca is ahead of where it should be and should be nerfed.

Except your assumptions, because that’s what they are, are based on your opinion of what is or is not enough. Youre only seeing part of the picture. Think for a second. Production is down overall. Demand is down. Scarcity doesn’t make a ■■■■ if nobody is building, buying, losing ships. It just isn’t happening like it should. Trit has plummeted in value, why? Because demand has fallen sharply. They need to unfuck t1 battleships and faction subs if you want to see production jump back somewhat to where it was. Not to mention capital production is happening in one off scenarios now. The glut of mins created by these changes isn’t the miners fault. They’re just doing what they’ve always done. The supply is plenty’ish now solely because production isn’t happening. If people come back to the game and start building again it absolutely will not be. Zoom out a bit and look again.

Edit: I’m not saying to increase individual yield anyway. Where did you get that? We will need more people doing it, but the individual yield is not an issue.

I got that from what you said about barge yield:

> [@Ranar\_Linyne](#):

I interpret that as "buff the yield of barges rather than nerfing the yield of the Orca.

I don’t follow your logic.

Demand is down, so you conclude that we need to increase supply? That’s not how supply and demand work.

If demand is low, raising the supply will lower the demand even more.

You miss the part there about unfucking t1 and faction production? Bc between that, the low af pcu, and the whole nobody is building caps thing there is where the glut is coming from. I also intentionally did not mention a specific buff I’d like to see for barges and exhumers. I’d like to see them get something that makes them more desirable to fly, survivability, or even something special. Their yield is fine. Nobody has been bitching about their yield.

We recently had an update that solved the problems within t1 and faction production, decoupling them from capital production prices. It is unfucked now, all we need is to wait for the capital prices to stabilize while stockpiles are used up and then it will be worth it to build caps as well.

> [@Ranar\_Linyne](#):

Then why did you say:

> [@Ranar\_Linyne](#):
>

If you’re not talking about yield, then you’re talking about how they’re slow in space, correct?

I don’t agree that that needs to change: barges are the mining ships of choice. Mining is not an activity in which you need ship speed and agility, so those barges aren’t designed to be quick and agile, that’s what we have mining frigates for.

Given the amount if times you’ve demonstrated that you don’t really know what you’re talking about when it comes to the orca and how it’s used, and how much you care about the Orca despite claiming to not use it yourself and how you lobby for a practice which is widely regarded as game spoiling…I’m gonna go ahead and say you’re one of the people @Arumi_Liz is talking about when they say the devs shouldn’t listen to some players.

Because they are. Not in yield though, they outpace the orca by a fair margin in yield.

They already don’t, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you’re telling them. Ask your csm members, they’ll tell you. This is not new.

Lmfao, thats why production is up? That why almost no battleships were printed in the forge this month? That’s why people stopped producing faction hulls and heavily favor, almost exclusively, lp farming for built hulls now? Caps will level out at astronomical, production is prohibitively expensive. Even Evan isn’t whelping caps at these prices. Yeah seems completely unfucked to me. Good job ccp! Everything is as it should be, nobody building, nobody logging in, nobody using their expensive toys. Perfection. Heavy sigh… Except it isnt, at all. It’s ■■■■■■■ broken. If you dont see it I can’t help you.

That’s because people printed ships en masse in preparation for the industry changes, so the stockpiles will last quite a while before it becomes profitable again to build certain hulls like capitals. Have some patience.

Yes, this means that capital prices will be more expensive than they were before. And that’s a good thing, capital proliferation was an issue.

Is not a magic wand you can wave around to justify shitting on unrelated ships and processes. Rorqs did that, not Orcas, not t1 battleships, and certainly not faction subs. Gtfo with that ■■■■.

Less than you might think. Production numbers are not secret, we have access to most of that data. People loaded their slots with caps not t1 battleships and faction subs for the most part.
