> Certainly, if CAR would make their own money, they would be like "Oh, let me rpint 2 million BTC! Oh no, need more… Let me Create Bitcoin goild! Oh no, need more forks… printer goes brrrrrrrrrrr.

You have no idea what you’re talking about even though it has been explained to you.

BTC cannot be printed.
New BTC is assigned to the miner that guesses the right number (THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO BRING NEW BTC INTO EXISTENCE)
There will only ever be 21m BTC ever in the entire future of mankind.
The value of a BTC is determined by supply and Demand
Forks can occur due to a disagreement, but no one is under any obligation to use or invest in the new currency created from the fork.

These are facts that you must understand before any long debate about BTC.

I could create a crypto currency and call it Aaroncoin, would anyone use it? Nope, would it be valuable? Nope.

The printer you speak of simply doesn’t exist in BTC. get your facts straight and perhaps we can continue this discussion at a later time.

We know what happens when a good idea comes along.

That’s a vague statement. This does not disprove the 70 or so active and maintained forks of BTC.

BTC has forks, if you don’t know what it is, you should look it up. It’s like if a department in France would be like “hey, I print 20 million French Franks with French Franc Sud printed on it and makes it legal tender.” Look guise (it’s like how we pronounce Guys, kinda like geyser but without the R". we do not print more French Francs, it’s just another currency we use…

And 1/5 is already out of use. Sounds like a plan. Oh, don’t forget Internet was like colonized and that’s why Bitcoin failed. You can quote me later, lol.

That’s a terrible way to create a currency. Currency is mainly balanced on the economy.

So any fork of Bitcoin isn’t bitcoin? It’s random crypto?

I’m sorry, but some random scam isn’t based on facts, it’s based on smoke and mirrors.
Here’s a subway map for BTC and forks.

BTC could have another 10,000 forks for all I care, I will still only use BTC.

I showed you before that many BTC forks still have a stable value but I guess it does not fit with the narrative of the mystery but is fine to avoid any scrutiny. As usual I was met with a “Eh… oh… eh… well… just wait two weeks! It will fizzle out!. A year later it still has value. But I’ll wait 100 years. Okay, that good enough?”

> [@Aaron](#):

You are literally printing scam coins (like Karak says) getting paid in BTC. Once they can’t print from thin air and ridiculous amounts of wasted energy (which is the “value” ploy) -during an energy crisis non the less (If you don’t have bread, eat cake instead)- the alt-coins will be the printer and the transaction costs will soar or you’ll be printing negative money. Either way, it will end horribly bad for El Salvador and CAR when the rug is pulled.

Currency value is determined by **aggregate supply and demand**.
Where do you think that supply and demand comes from? Wasting electrical power or economy/trade/import/export?

You are literally printing a scam coin and getting BTC you sell immediately knowing the risk. I don’t blame you for it, I’m just saying it’s a bit short termed. Also saying ‘you’ will do x or y is a bit weird, I assume there are a few other players on the field. Elon Musk is more like a DogeCoin fan. It’(s not for the common people, it’s good for shady entrepreneurs, everyone wants to be the wolf of wallstreet but they usually forget the ending.

Wrong, I sell quickly because I want the money t pay off debt, once the debt is paid any BTC I’m paid will stay as BTC for the longterm.

Well, I assume you talk about fait currency and it doesn’t work like that. But let’s assume the country decrees let’s print money to give to the poor. Sounds like a solution but devaluatre everyones money. On a very short term, those poor people might spend it on the wrong things and everything gets back to normal after the lower classes pay up. Things take time. Action, reaction. Some decisions by leaders I might opr might not like, if I do so, I can vote on another politician that will like the previous one tell me his true intentions and I can sleep knowing another good guy is running the asylum.

I do get you had a money problem, and you are fixing it. I hope you get it fixed and things eventually work out wel for you. But consider a regular job, or star a company that does a thing that isn’t too risky. (I assume) You are young and have a lot of options for you so don’t waste them. I cannot decide for you waht is best, you can. And it’s difficult but keep at it. It’s not because we have differences and explore the pros and cons of this Bitcoin puzzle that I don’t hope the best for you personally.

Nope, remember it will be given to struggling families mostly, so it will be spent on things the kids need, like clothes, food, electric.

> [@Aedaxus](#):
>
> Sounds like a solution but devaluatre everyones money.

So we are in agreement, printing money devalues the existing cash in circulation. Now what could possibly be a solution where it’s impossible to print more of the currency and it can only be generated or purchased?

Yeah, so do a lot of dog coins.

I admit that forks in a currency are a strange thing, but it’s how consensus finding works with this technology and I don’t think everything about the dynamic of this is fully understood. It will take a couple of decades for us to see all the consequences this can cause.

For now, those forks are relatively small. Even the biggest one, which is Bitcoin Cash, which was caused by a disagreement about how to scale Bitcoin is at the moment at a market cap of 0.5% compared to Bitcoin.

 ![screen](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/a/c/2/ac2b3baa04a9a8e84f8a98a56e1ae8e6a71341b0.png)

Obviously that fork was at a point where Bitcoin was relatively small. It will be interesting to see what happens if it gets bigger.

Is not bitcoin, its education.
Look at the education there and weep.

> [@Aedaxus](#):

> I hope the poor will get rich

Rich will be even more rich, they will eat from golden troughs. Poor will be kept stupid to be exploited like horses, sheeps and cows untill they are of no use. Security forces with special foreigner mercenary units with no moral compass will bite every dissidents head off like trained dogs. So everywhere you go you will hear only praises of those who have to fear a lot, fear about what to eat, fear about beatings, fear about their future. Praises, because those swines will give them small flame of hope, the hope that will make poors do a lot for a simple loaf of bread, they dont need bitcoin when they have no phones. People will be kept poor, and rich will promise them little, but enough, then those rich will exchange poors life for valuables, maybe even gambling tokens. Known methods.

All you need to read, or watch is Animal Farm, to see how it all works.

What makes you think people cant read or count? Also there is such a concept called an internet cafe, where people pay for a certain amount of time to use computer and internet. This is much cheaper than giving everyone a smartphone. Why is it an issue to set up a series of satellite internet connections at internet cafe’s in remote areas?

I hate to disappoint you, but when we were young and gopher was still a thing we could find a lot of scientifical things, universities were the most prominent online. Now? I guess not. It’s changed into ‘copy and paste’ the most popular low effort videos. Yes, there are some fine things like the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics and many more but it’s difficult to find them in any suggestion list as none of their videos are “YLYL”. 😉

Basic education needs to be given to those students, they also need to see a future because if you are hunting for food just not to starve I don’t think spending hours on Theoretical Physics will be apreciated by the people around you.

Well okay, but a basic level of computing can provide much needed communication between villages for example which would enhance the level of trade and make it more efficient and provide jobs.

One could build a business simply because they already know the fruit/veg requirement for the neighbouring villages through internet communication.

General computer skills such as word processors, email, spreadsheets should be accessible for everyone in 2022.

Hopefully the CAR will be able to arrest, try, and imprison anyone causing violence to the general populace so that they can get on with their farming and raising cattle or what ever trade they do without worry.

Let’s hope so, but today I see some issues arising;

Russian mercenaries are there to protect the President and the Industrial complexes, and will kill all opponents. The gold and diamond mines will go to… _drumroll_ Russian companies linked with those mercenary forces. Not sure how keen they are on sharing with the CAR.

Russia is meanwhile also planning on legalizing crypto. Great to see all dictatorships introducing it, they probably want glasnost and perestroika. 😃 Right? It will be so good in the future. Everyone will become a crypto Gorillionaire.

Bitcoin is -1.975,99 (6,55%) but a new load of naive people will be introduced to BTC during the holidays. So it has a chance to rise. If those who invested aren’t bailing out harder than the new guys . Not saying it looks like a pyramid scheme. But still… 😃

Nope, those days are gone. Due to the worldwide recession nobody is interested in anything that has the slightest sniff of volatility. Speaking honestly I for one prefer it this way because then we only get the intelligent investors who have a full understanding of BTC. I will make it very clear, if you don’t understand BTC or will draw out your investment in it at the first sign of trouble then it’s better you don’t invest in BTC.

Even if you do know what your doing with BTC you should still only invest an amount where it won’t be the end of the world if it the temporarily looses value.
