What hilarious is he thinks fitting these trig ships with decent fits is easy, most of the time unless you have perfect skilsl you 3-5% implants to make them work properly.

Also why should we punish players who work for their ISK to buy expensive toys and fit them with expensive modules to PVP?

“It’s difficult to fit” is nonsense. Perfect fitting skills aren’t that hard to get and are generally considered a priority for PvP anyway. That is not in any way a relevant balancing factor.

> Also why should we punish players who work for their ISK to buy expensive toys and fit them with expensive modules to PVP?

Because balance is a thing, and cost is not really an effective balance factor. If something is overpowered but expensive it just means that success in PvP requires buying the overpowered thing and you either buy it or give up on PvP. You should not be able to buy your way to PvP wins by spending a lot of ISK.

Sorry, but this is an utter nonsense argument. Having fewer high slots or only a single gun doesn’t matter when you get a full rack of guns worth of DPS out of the single high slot you have to spend on offense. Having less fitting for your extra high slots doesn’t matter when you have way more utility high slots than any other line of ships, so that even if you left 1-2 of them entirely empty you’d still be doing better than most other ships.

Ok.

First “your whole rack of guns” will out DPS a single Disintegrator of equal size for a while.

By the time the disintegrator matches equal amount of DPS its highly likely the standard turrets done more damage by that time.

Sure after that point the disintegrator starts out pacing the other turrets in DPS.

As everyone has said the Trigs turrets key advantage only comes at a cost of time. Which means you have to stay alive long enough to get it.

Over a short period of time the Trig turret is weak, but over time the become powerful.

As other have said to get to full dps capability a trig pilot has to meant certain requirements;

1- Maintain target lock.
2- Maintain target within optional turret range.
3- Don’t switch targets, till target is dead or a bigger threat needs to be targeted.
4- Maintain enough CAP for turret.
5- Ensure no ammo reload is required once turret starts cycles.

If any of these broken it **will** reset disintegrator cycle bonus to zero.

But the point you seem to not to understand is the fitting requirement of the disintegrator and the supporting modules. To make a successful fit requires high value modules that have low fitting requirements and activation costs.

Yes, that is how they are designed: lower DPS in short fights, higher DPS in longer fights. That doesn’t change the fact that having only one gun is a bonus, not a drawback, as they have been designed to function with all of their firepower coming from one high slot. Not having more than one gun just allows them to take a ton of remote reps in their other high slots.

> But the point you seem to not to understand is the fitting requirement of the disintegrator and the supporting modules. To make a successful fit requires high value modules that have low fitting requirements and activation costs.

Ton of remote rep’er?

Have you ever used a trig ship successfully or you have never used a Trig ship, and just complaining because someone that does owned you.

Even a Leshak has issues mounting two large remote rep’er, without cpu and powergrid issues.
A trig frigate has a choice of turret and on me other highslot item.

I suggest got and use a trig ship and see how OP is really isn’t.

The only benefit of Trig ships is ether in a fleet of other ships that counters its low starting dps or to prove logi till it amps up its dps.
Or have a massive tank to ride out the damage till you get good damage, or have heaps of entropic heatsinks to speed up the cycle dps.
All cost a trig player in modules to achieve what the player wants.

So to get a logi fitted trig ship requires that standard requirements, sure it gets a nice range and activation role bonus, but CPU and Powergrid requirements are huge, to the point to get two on a Leshak and maintain a good tank and basic battleship needs, mean you mount medium Reps, or sacrifice tank or dps modules just to get CPU or PowerGrid high enough to mount them.

Its the same if you wanted to mount smartbombs.

But @Merin_Ryskin you can believe what you want, but a number of trig players have already said the trig aren’t over powered. As it is all trig ships have the lowest shield HP in the game, slightly lower than Amarr ships in CAP.
Trig ships aren’t for low skilled players, as they require high skills just to increase basic ship features to allow to fit modules.

> [@dewk](#):

Oh boo hoo. Most ships can’t mount two large reps (with bonuses!) at all because they need their high slots for guns. The level of entitlement here is ridiculous.

> but a number of trig players have already said the trig aren’t over powered

Shocking, the people who use a ship don’t think that it’s overpowered and don’t want it nerfed. Next you’re going to tell me that water is wet…

> As it is all trig ships have the lowest shield HP in the game, slightly lower than Amarr ships in CAP.

The level of desperation here is absurd. Who gives a \*\*\*\* about how much shield HP an armor tanked ship has? The fact that you have to resort to pointing out such minor drawbacks as “balance” shows how badly designed the entire ship line is.

> Trig ships aren’t for low skilled players, as they require high skills just to increase basic ship features to allow to fit modules.

No they don’t. They require high skills to fit _more than any other ship line gets to fit_. If you don’t expect to have full offense and strong tank and full remote reps all at the same time then their fitting is easy.

Also, once again, requiring high fitting skills is not a meaningful drawback. Those skills are a high priority for PvP players because _every ship class needs them_ and most players are going to have them. And that’s on top of the general fact that a high SP requirement is not a terribly useful balance mechanic when SP is so easy to get. It’s not like you’re forced to commit to having one set of skills at the expense of being unable to use other skills, SP is always cumulative and you can always buy more at any time if you aren’t satisfied with your normal training rate.

Go fly the Trig ships and see how **overpowered** the Trig ships are.

I looked at what was said. I see nothing but self-serving rationalizations for how the fact that their favorite ship has some tiny weakness and isn’t a perfect best-at-everything god ship in every single way means that it is balanced and can’t be nerfed.

Love how people that have never used a trig say they are over power.

In one on one fights its a struggle to win in one against other similar sized ships.

Very few people use them solo, and many don’t use them in fleet due to slow powerup over better alpha strike capable ships, that can near one shot other ships.

Using remote repairs are only useful in fleets, and smartbombs are limited use highslot items.

Triglav ships are fine for those who like to wait out their max DPS. No one’s breaking target? That’s not the triglav’s fault. I find that to be a most irritating (and worthwhile) form of defense.

Don’t touch my triglavs, I worked damned hard to afford them. Unless you’re going to do something about the low DPS compared to other HACS, and choose to maybe take down my Iki’s resists a smidge (I SAID A SMIDGE) to balance out a boost to my dmg? 🙂

If everybody got his way we’d all be flying corvettes.

While I feel sorry for any losses that may have befallen OP - who, I think has an interest in structures - well not really 😈 , kicking sand castles is part of the game and encouraged, I am also glad that it’s now another string of “_formidable_” ships that comes under fire. Titan owners fear stealth bombers and would love a “nerf”. Nothing new under the many suns in New Eden, eh.
The zkillboard link doesn’t show how long that small group of pilots was on grid smashing the structure. It must have been quite a while, more than enough time to use any batphone. Don’t have a batphone ? Maybe the station owner should have chosen another location or profession… There isn’t a single ship or doctrine without a good countermeasure in the game. Give it some thought, brain storm with others and make plans, or give up on certain unrealistic ambitions. Indeed, adapt or die is a reality.
