Your space-ship defies physics by having its thrusters still firing while you are decelerating. You travel 2000 times faster than the speed of light yet defy physics again by not arriving before you started, and no time dilation. You somehow reach faster than light speed using just thrusters. You have the bizarre situation where big ships can _only_ have big guns…unlike in RL where big ships nearly always have small fast tracking guns too. And don’t even get me started on how in the 230th century a gun struggles to lock on a stationary target 200 metres ( that’s bigger than a Jumbo jet ) in size…and that’s the smaller targets like frigates…at a mere 20 miles…yet laser systems in RL can already lock onto and shoot down ballistic missiles in split seconds. EVE is disturbingly _in_-accurate. But then…it is just a game. I’ll give you a clue….it’s not meant to be RL. ---

Not to mention the RoF. My turrets cycle slowly compared to a real life aircraft carrier’s CIWS which fires 6,000 rounds a minute and shreds fast moving jets instantly. ---

There is only one ship where I mix weapons like that, and its due to a remarkable overlap between falloff for the Medium turret and optimal range for the Large turret. Nobody would expect a battleship to be so well able to cope with being kited. It’s lower DPS than all large turrets….but the configuration makes it well worth it. Not a fitting I’m going to give away 🙂 ---

Abyssal Gilas? Are you sure you’re not thinking of rapid light missile launchers? While the ammo fired is indeed small, the rapid light missile launcher is a medium-sized weapon system. ---

There are fits where people are using 3 rapid lights and 1 heavy. It’s not identical to fitting light turrets or launchers on a battleship, but it is mixing sizes. Heavy missile launchers and rapid lights are the same size weapon systems, FYI. Both are cruiser-sized medium weapon systems. ---
