We can END ganking in Uedama, as we know it.
There is a very simple (and relatively safe) mechanic that would end ganking in Uedama.
All it takes is a couple of good bumping ships, a little coordination, and some desire.
We know how small and vocal the ganking community is. They’ll rush out to condemn me and use their very small bag of tricks to ridicule this post. The fact that I’ve been playing Eve Online since 2003.05.10 makes me immune to these tactics.
I sat an alt in a freighter, on a can at zero. I started my approach at 100k in an Omen Navy Issue. As you can see in the above picture, I was able to bump the Providence a solid 40k with a single bump.
If you know anything about ganking, you know how limited the range and speed of a Catalyst is. That being said, timing is EVERYTHING. (I have saved numerous Freighters and Marauders using this method.)
I propose a contest, to be held a week from *Sunday, 2021.10.24 at 18:00 Eve Time. I’ll reward the pilot that can bump a stationary freighter the greatest distance 5 billion ISK. The payment will be made on TQ but the contest will take place on the Test Server. Given the nature of gankers, they will show up and try to gank the freighter on TQ . I’ll post the rules in a follow-up post.
If you want to participate in the contest (or anti-ganking), you can post here or send me an in-game email. I’m sure many of you don’t want to deal with the grief that is sure to follow.
*Conditions are subject to change once I receive feedback.
