Yup, clinging to your ignorance so you do not have to challenge your biases.

Nothing to see here folks.

PS: I’ll quote it again for the people in the back.

That would be entitled AF. If no-one blows up, you have no-one to sell to afterall. At a certain point ships HAVE to blow up for ship construction to remain a profitable and worthwhile venture.

> I agree that trigs are trash content but removing trigs at this point would break the economy. These mineral rebalances MAY be enough to tip the scales and allow CCP to remove trigs AND high sec PvP (which I believe is their goal) but at what cost? I sure do hear a lot of complaining amongst PvEers around all the recent mineral/industry rebalances and I see why. **At what point does the only valid profession become selling game time?**
>
> And the 1 million dollar question: Is the Eve we have now REALLY better than having to deal with a suspect in your mission, or a ganker in your asteroid belt?.. With half the playerbase? Twice the bots? Blue Donut? Dead Low Sec? Trigs? I could go on forever. You guys have got to just accept that you’re going to have to lose a ship one way or another. It might as well be to another player, it’s to your own benefit in the grand scheme of things anyway.

The trigs mechanic is fine. It’s new to have NPC fleets insta-jibbing in hi-sec, yes, but it’s an isk sink, plain and simple. If your number is up, it’s up – it’s your contribution to balancing the economy of the game.

I haven’t seen any Trig gate camps personally, but I don’t spend much time at all in Caldari space (even around Jita) and I also don’t touch minor victory systems. I suppose I have been lucky not to run into them in any of the other places where a Trig WH can spawn, and I will check the list now from time to time now that I know that there is a site for that.

Has it impacted my gameplay? A bit, yes. I now fly only bog standard T1 in high-sec unless I am in one of my cloakers – everything else is shelved for now, which is fine, it’s not a big deal for me to do that personally. I have been using pro haulers more or less exclusively, less regional arbitrage and more station trading, that kind of thing.

If I were that concerned about the Trigs and/or I lived in Caldari space I would probably just travel to Pochven and grab their standing, which doesn’t seem that hard to do and seems to obviate the issue – and I may still do that at some stage – but at this point I don’t feel the personal need.

Ok if ensist:

> [@hellokittyonline](#):

> But you wanted all the PvP nerfed so that you didn’t have to bother with being hunted by other players.

Actually in all for high-sec pvp. I completely do not mind it.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> You can’t just NOT DIE EVER and expect your PvE activities to mean anything.

There is a difference between dying and RNGing you ship.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> The Trigs are the ■■■■■■■■ Carebears deserve for crying PvP out of High Sec.

I didnt cry PVP out of high-sec, neither am I a carebear actually.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> I sure do hear a lot of complaining amongst PvEers around all the recent mineral/industry rebalances and I see why.

Mineral and industry changes are actually good. Want higher risk/higher reward mining? Go lower sec. Thats perfectly fine.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> than having to deal with a suspect in your mission, or a ganker in your asteroid belt?

As I said these are good.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> With half the playerbase? Twice the bots?

Half the playerbase and bots are happening when the game cannot longer be played with passive attention. The entire point of playing Eve is that it doesnt always require active attention and there are ways to play it that way: while it does things itself on the background or even when you are completely offline. Go above certain threshold and people will just quit, because the game isnt really worth the effort anymore and bots will replace them.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> Blue Donut? Dead Low Sec?

These are whole another topic.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> You guys have got to just accept that you’re going to have to lose a ship one way or another.

And roaming NPC fleets in high sec are not a good way to lose ships. Ive already explained why.

> [@hellokittyonline](#):
>
> it’s to your own benefit in the grand scheme of things anyway.

Again you have completely missed the point. “Blah-blah carebears” type of elitism is nothing new and is still silly.

As i said before all of this is kinda crap that doesn’t have anything to do with me or the point i’m making.

That was my entire point all along. People will always figure out the way to do PVE without losing any ships. Risk isnt really a good way to improve PVE engagement.

A tired ascertion that has questionable application in [eve] reality.

The best way to improve PvE engagements would be to introduce more PvP aspects to them because it is not only more exciting but also great for the player driven ecosystem.

You mean those things that had a lasting presence? 😛

> Again, entirely different systems, those were for systems with prolonged triglavian presence

Kind of like the messages they had in place for the trig incursions?

Yeah that already happened for things that lasted a while, this is a 12 hour temporary disruption

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> Thats shitty design. Thats kinda an entire point.

No, thats _your_ entire point, personally speaking i’m happy with how it turned out and that the current system promotes intel sharing among players and puts the warning system in the players hands instead of handing it to them so they can sit there and just ignore the game, something to do with the MM part of MMORPG

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> This is too fundamental of a change to happen the way it.

Based on whose standards? again, you’re free to dislike the change, just as fundamental changes were made to ships entire roles like converting a bunch of turret ships to missile ships for no real reason, adding warp bubbles, adding wormholes, hell even having the last chapter of the trig invasion was a massive fundamental change, change isn’t a bad thing, its just different, you’re not going to like every single change

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> As i said HIGH SEC gates were safe for 17 years

They were never “safe”, people just got lax and assumed there was safety due to nothing happening to remind them that there is infact NO safe space in the game, this change made it so people are reminded of this

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> and they are not WITHOUT ANY WARNING. Not everybody are interested trigs content.

And? not everyone is interested in large parts of content, they do however massively affect everyone, the mineral changes affected more than just miners, changes to jump drives affect people who don’t even use them, just because you have no interest in a certain piece of content that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t affect you

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> It is easier to quit the game then to deal with them tbh

Then by all means, don’t let me stop you, you seem to think that every change should be something you’re ok with and that they shouldn’t do anything you don’t like or don’t want to have to deal with

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> so the change as I said is bad.

In your personal opinion sure, however having partaken in the event and being the one helping to run one of the trig related communities i can safely say there are things going on that wouldn’t have happened without this content, there wouldn’t be people banding together to help protect shipping lanes from invading trigs, there wouldn’t be power struggles in a new region of space with different living mechanics

You see the negatives while not seeing the positives, the people that have ended up banding together on both sides of the battle, little bit short sighted don’t you think

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> It doesnt take skill. It just forces you to refit you ships to with the modules you do not need just in case. Thats not a challenge thats a headache.

Oh boohoo you have to refit for dealing with potential unexpected circumstances, yeah not really going to get sympathy for that, expect the unexpected, if you’re that bothered by it why not hire a scout or get a friend or corpmate to help you move whatever it is you need to move through areas that might have triglavian invasions, i mean you are aware this is a multiplayer game right?

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> because people play in HS exactly because the do not want this type of gameplay.

No, they stay in highsec because they incorrectly believe that it is “safe” and they don’t want to have to actually think much for themselves, welcome to having to read, research and pay attention to things going on outside of your own personal bubble in a multiplayer game

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> Now imagine trig invaded system is highlighted on the route as it did before with a triangle. How many options do we have now?

No, you would get people whining and complaining that they want a way to avoid those systems entirely without having to do any work, its why we have settings to avoid trig and edencom owned systems, this wasn’t an improvement it was a feature specifically to cater to people whining and not wanting to pay attention to things, people didn’t ask what the triangle meant, they just died and whined until CCP gave them the ability to avoid them

> [@Andre\_Highroule](#):
>
> No, i want fun ways of dealing with danger.

No, you literally want to be warned of every single tiny little risk to the point that you don’t have to think for yourself

Concord does not and never has protected players from NPC aggression, they only police player versus player combat, there aren’t any NPC’s that are there to save you outside of EDENCOM controlled systems which has EC spawns in it, but even then they won’t save you

Another thing that’s been said over and over. The changes are needed to prevent stagnation etc etc. While I agree generating new content and taking the game in new directions let’s not mistaken CCP’s direction over the last 2-3y or so as actual progress.

PA CCP continues to gut a game, cash in and call it progress.
