Thank you. My question was more in regard to the discrepancy between the valuation at 15%, and the actual cost of the hulls today.

CCP has allowed the price of manufacturing these ships to skyrocket astronomically without any remedy. But now the price of buying them back from asset safety is being undervalued by multiple years? Can we expect the price of building them to be updated as well?

Bringing the hulls into alignment with one another is great, significantly undervaluing them when calculating asset safety while leaving them absurdly expensive to build is not. Is there another method of calculating hull value that CCP is employing here?

Interbus is not happy with this. Now they go bankrupt and you need to remove asset safety completely 🙂

tbh.. let people owning supers pay for their neglect. They chose to asset safety them. They chose to join a group that was bad for them, they chose to do this you don’t need to cater to those people.

for asset safety nullsec players complain and you just tell them “okay guys get your stuff back”

This is not cool CCP. Those people only managed to get their supers by abusing N+1 like hell and now you even help them. Maybe instead transfer their asset fees into free omega for newbros.

You should just rename yourself to T20. Maybe spawn a few T2 BPOs while you are at it too. Interesting how you and CCP never cared about high asset safety prices when others were paying them.

CCP, the right thing to do here is take a look at post WWB2 and include compensation for inflated values to those that had asset safety items as a result. If you won’t do that, this current adjustment and compensation is pure favoritism.

Edit: …or pure fear at losing subs because you now realize asset safety is “kinda” broken.

Asset Safety needs to just no longer be a thing.

I get that this was to bail out the hordies. Too big to fail? I don’t know. Just let them have this one, but then get rid of Asset Safety before the next big campaign kicks off, okay? Let not defending your territory have consequences. In many ways Asset Safety just incentivises not undocking, which is really boring and imo counter to what EVE should be.

I rely on asset safety for my ESS activities. It definitely shouldn’t completely disappear. If you want more risk and more reward you have Poch and J-Space.

Sounds like you should be prepared to fight, or bring in a covert hauler to haul your bounty.

Being able to deposit items into a structure without docking rights was always a terrible fix for a silly problem. The fix CCP should have created was that you could deposit an item ONLY if someone with docking rights had created a courier contract to that citadel. (i.e., fix the problem that existed, not creating a loophole for people who don’t want to fight).

This is the second time CCP has put their finger on the scale to benefit specifically Pandemic Horde. First Ghost Titans after the battle of M2, were returned (with fittings) to people safely in their hangars, after jumping in and dying in M2.

Now after a great deal of effort and personal risk, the Imperium trapped Horde supers, and ultimately drove them into asset safety when they destroyed their staging Keepstar. Now CCP WITH FULL KNOWLEDGE that the values they are assigning to titans and supers is SEVERELY undervalued. This type of favoritism is not new to CCP. But it is still a slap in the face to every player not in Pandemic Horde. ■■■■ You CCP.

100% Biased. CCP gave them all their titans back after M2 with “Ghost Titans”, and now they are doing it again. Odd that it only happens like this when Horde is involved. It is a slap in the face to every player that risked ships to force Horde Titans into Asset Safety. Every player can see it plain as day.

@CCP_Swift So if CCP is recognizing screwy valuations will players that paid obscene prices to research blueprints get reimbursements as well? Or will that happen only if we find that it was Horde members were overcharged?

at least be honest about the intention of keeping people subscribed instead of half hearted half thought out points on the price, cause the fact that its temporary says more than anything else.

If I recall correctly, the movement of some Ghost Titans was a mistake from the support team that was undone shortly after.

The fact they happened at all was some quirk of the server as it was figuratively melting under the load from the fight. I was actually in a ghost ship, and one of the first people to [learn the hard way](https://zkillboard.com/kill/89693728/) what they were, so I call tell you exactly how they worked:

When your ship was destroyed during the battle, it got stuck in an invulnerable state, though generating a killmail with no modules listed. You could move, warp (provided you could get out of the bubbles), even eject (I actually got into someone else’s ghost ship), but not jump or tether. After the servers righted themselves and restarted, if you attempted to log back in you would land in the exact location where you originally “died” (read: in the middle of a bunch of bubbles and a hostile supercapital fleet), with all modules offline and a sliver of structure remaining.

Have tried moving your stuff to a npc station?

No?

Somehow wormholers can deal with that why cant you?

You must be a lazy ■■■■.

There are concepts of stuffing freighters with your assets. And lag of in it.

Null sec people are the cancer of this game.

Also the Masses with low iq. And this is exploited by the leadership of the big alliances.

Ccp should check the toons complaining if they live in null or hs.

If true

Discard opinion

Removing asset safety would be beneficial

For this reasons.

More jobs for indu hauling toons.

More overall movement = more content.

It would be another tool to prevent structure spamming.

Since it would actually be possible profit to check what the piñata offers.

Higher level of strategic planing.

More commitment to to the longevity of alliances and the defense of citas.

More actually fights over it.

Les pussyfied null players ruining the game.

Im ok with assat safty in hs otherwise caled low iq sec space.

Sure, they can, because they are not constantly under threat of eviction, not constantly camped, they can close off their home and farming holes from interference and they rake in ridiculous amounts of ISK for little effort by comparison. If null sec gets the same treatment (ridiculous income, closing off systems, natural cyno inhibition), we could consider the argument that Null Sec people are “lazy effs”. Else:

If only the servers allowed that to happen in circumstances that actually matter. However, as it stands, the server completely thwarts and inhibits both proper defenses and attacks because it cannot handle these efforts. Hence, crutches like AS are a necessary evil to counteract the technological inadequacies.

Pretty good example for a bad design. If you rob a bank, make sure to have an escape plan.

Absolutely. Another bandaid fix for the incredibly bad citadel design, that made the situation worse. As if the devs wouldn’t even play their own game… oh wait…
