# Vanguard unable to start

Anyone else getting an error when trying to launch Vanguard? The message states "The application was unable to start (0xc0000005).

I’ve tried launching the “start\_protected\_game.exe” in the Vanguard/Windows folder and get the same error, even if I run it as administrator. I did the same with the Atlas-Win64-Shipping.exe. It started up and I was excited. However, since it didn’t start with Easy Anti Cheat, it forced me to close the app.
