Problem for me is that I HAVE to engage with this crap because need to scan around to find what I actually need to find. This SHUB sig spam is already atrocious, CHit on top of it only makes it so much worse.
I really hope they reduced the sig rank to 2 this time around but I doubt they are this competent or care about the event at all.
Extended DT again? The hell is going on with CCP’s crappy servers? It’s about time that they stop working on improving the graphics and work in returning the servers to a stable, reliable state instead. (and no, most obviously they cannot do that simultaneously; and no, even gfx designers working on the server tech appears to be a better use of CCP’s resources as actual server techs don’T seem to have a clue what they are doing anyway.)
CCP learned that increased loot percentage in High Sec is a bad idea. Have they also learned to reduce the data site tier from 3 to 2 to alleviate the incredible scanning chore?

I have finished the Event on two chars, one time for Tetrimon, one time for Blood Raiders. For around 2/3rd I did the “bigger” sites (Tetrimon Base + Crimson Gauntlet). For 1/3rd I did the Biochemical Incident Sites (L2 and L3).
Positive:
the payout: one of the better events, the skill boosters are nice and the value of the loot in general pretty generous for an activity that can be done in HS.
the constant warpout-behavior of the NPCs has been fixed, this time they actually stay on grid. So much better than in the last years where they constantly bounced on grid if they did land too far from you initially.
the existence of shortcut-tokens is a nice idea, keep that! It allows players to make a decision: shorten their time spent or selling the tokens for additional profits.
the addition of frig- and destroyer sites that have parts of the loot dropping from the extraction shuttles is good. In those sites, Veterans in blinged Marauders cannot enter and even if the final boss is “stolen”, those who spent most of the time in the sites still get a nice chunk of the loot.
the idea with the Escalations is nice in general
Negative:
It’s still absolutely repetitive, requires no thinking and once you have a fit that cannot die any more, it’s not even dangerous. Not to say: a boring grind, as interesting as shooting structures…
the design of the new sites (Biochemicals) is… questionable. You make them for small ships, which is okay. But then you limit the movement radius else the site fails? Which basically makes the best fit one that remains stationary, tanks and just shoots? That is a 100% counterintuitive how frigates are used in the game. Why don’t you use the site design to show how Frigs should be flown and reward good pilots so they can excel and speed up the progress by flying well?
the escalations are usually simply not worth it. Yes, you can get better loot from them. But they often go into LowSec where the risk of losing your ship (to PvP) is magnitudes higher. And if you count in the travel time, you’d probably still be better off with just grinding the regular sites.
Interesting:
doing BCI2 and BCI3 Sites in a cheap Retribution did return almost as much loot value than doing Crimsons/Tetrimons with a MUCH more expensive ship. And even the event progress wasn’t that much behind. I’d expect a somewhat better payout for the larger sites, since you risk a lot more from going in there (being tackled almost all the time, easily be ganked in there…).
Stop the automatic rotation of ships in NPC space stations. Please stop immediately. This is dizzying and mind-numbing. This shouldn’t exist. This shouldn’t be mandatory. This must stop. This is extremely annoying.
