Meeting Room Names Recommend solar system names, in alphabetical order, from direction 000, clockwise, by floor, starting with the meeting rooms on the lowest floor first then the next higher floor. Reviewing the current room layouts and conditions, recommend for rooms with air conditioning issues, a robust server room-quality portable air conditioner with an exhaust hose that mounts up in the suspended ceiling. I installed one in my old lab office because the entire floor had unventable windows and poor air conditioning. My office partner and I split $100 on a used Tripp Lite SRCOOL12K Portable Cooling Unit, cut a section out of the corner ceiling tile, mounted the exhaust vent up on the frames, and covered the entire unit with a tall cardboard piece, painted black, salvaged from a previous standup desk installation. The result was the coldest office in the computer lab during the summer months. For the new building EVE meeting rooms, with heating concerns, if space is allowed, recommend the same portable air conditioner setup, but use a fabricated and custom painted PETG or LP plastic cover 6-8 ft tall with removable access panels over the air conditioning unit and exhaust, designed in the shape of a Naglfar, a vertical Avatar, the upper section of a citadel, etc. Any in-game geometric that the group decides on, that can be fabricated into an attractive design cover, mounted vertically on top of the cooling unit and exhaust hose, and is approved by the building fire safety department. Recommend LED lighting along the floor edge of the glass walls to help with emergency evacuations. ---

I’ve voted for Solar systems, I don’t really care what you call the meeting rooms - but I like the idea that one of the corridors should be called ‘Rancer’. ---

REGIONS - because impressions or ideas of regions for obvious or funny mental associations **The Forge** is for major business or productive meetings **Domain** for company-centric or motivational meetings **Stain** is code for pubcrawl-type meetings _starting at that pub, you know the one_ **Derelik** for small meetings that could probably have been in a cubicle **The Spire** for the highest-floor or rooftop meeting area and finally **Kalevala Expanse** for napping and quiet time, because everyone will pick a different meeting room just to avoid saying it ---

I voted solar systems. Then pick a system that’s relevant to what what purpose the room has. On the assumption it’s not 25 “meeting” rooms but all sorts of working spaces, here’s some suggestions: Entry hall/lobby: One (or more) of the birth-systems. Rhyddinyorn has a nice Icelandic ring to it. (Other options: Sehmy, Emrayur, Chaven, Ammold, Hulm, Bourynes, Duripant, Cistuvaert, Kisogo, Todaki, Amsen) Intern-workspaces: One (or more) of the Rookie systems: Pasha, Conoban, Deepari, Haduago, Embod, Malukker, Trossere, Couster, Clellinon, Uitra, Jouvulen and/or Akiainavas. Sales: One of the trade hubs. Depending on the state your sales-department is in (or you want it to be in) it could be the chaos of Jita, or the somewhat dangerous 0.5 Hek. Devs: A system with a lot of R&D agents. Inaro, Jel, Kamokor, Nonni or Haajinen for example. There could be others. GM’s: Polaris ISD’s: could again be a rookie system CCP Falcon et al: A named low-sec system. Or a CONCORD system. The toilets: One (or more) of the dead-end systems. Lunchroom/pentry: Now THAT should be Jita IMHO. (With all the chatter/gossip and backstabbing of ‘local’ there) Generic meeting room: Yulai. CSM meeting room: a SCC system. Tar for example. For the guy who does have a job but not really anything to do: The Interbus system, Ourapheh ---

I went with Solar System names. While Ship names could be fun, The thought of meeting in Jita, or Yulai seems so iconic for CCP. Of course is you wanted to promote the whole Chaos Era, you could use wormhole system names. I can see it now…“I’m here for the SOV meeting”…“That’s in J230049, this is J130045 and this is the budget meeting”… Also you could go with the regional themes, Amarr rooms would have gaudy chairs, Gallente rooms would have very large, comfy lounge chairs, Caldari rooms would have metal chairs, while in Minmatar rooms, you sit on the floor 😛 ---

Ship class names is currently winning with 35% followed by Solar System Names at 28% and Region Names at 26%. The poll heavily favors Ship Class Names by design (one could almost call it rigged) due to Locations being split up into 3 categories. It makes sense for a room (which is a location) to be named after a location, but splitting locations up into 3 options will divide the vote. At this time, the majority of voters (65%) feel rooms should be named after locations, but due to the construction of the poll it is unlikely anything other than Ship Class Names has a fair chance. I’m not saying this is rigged, because the creator might have thought more options for locations=more chance a location will win… If that was the intention, it has failed. But to put it in perspective, this is nothing to get upset about, and possibly CCP can learn from their poll design if this was in fact unintended… Plus, ships in EVE are huge, large enough to imagine a room is inside of one… Ship Classes could make for some easy decor of themed ships, and maybe groups of rooms could be region themed as well, maybe with hallways painted in line with Regions. My childhood room was painted from the moons perspective of space, and I can only imagine the unique spacescapes of different regions as one would walk down the hallways to the Destroyer room or something 😜 ---

I would name them after systems in syndicate. I first fell in love with eve pvp out in syndicate, and I will always have a warm place in my heart for it. Back in the day I would draw out the entire Syndicate region (from memory) on my notepad when I was bored in class. ---
