Since today is Saint John’s, the tradition here is to have this after the sun sets on the 23rd and then go party (optionally): ![imagen](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/eveonline/original/4X/d/3/2/d3235dbb72a0337eac77637a598f7d04179a640b.jpeg) This is what we call “coca”, a kind of pastry cake which [Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca_(pastry)) will explain better than I could. This Saint John’s coca with candied fruits and pinenuts is absolutely fluffy, sweet and delicious. 😋 (The green stuff is candied and tinted watermelon; there is a bitter divide between sane, decent human beings who enjoy all candied fruits and drooling morons who dislike candied watermelon) ---

No, we bought ours from a bakery, that’s a sample photograph. Baking something like this exceeds my skills and will to invest the required leisure time, I’m not into cooking\*… 😅 \*but I can pretty much take care of myself cooking-wise, just not for fun. ---

Past employers have placed me on the grill at the works end of year Christmas Parties as they know it’s the best spot to put the drunk. As much as you Fang try to sustain some level of confidence with your last response. Frosty will never fall for it. Being able ti turn the oven on and off when the timer rings is not suggesting that a male can cook. ---

Has anyone tried laying a piece of meat, poultry or fish across pineapple slices and then slowly cook the meat in Scillian Virgina Olive Oil? You’ll have to turn the meat or fish over to flavor each side. A big slab of ribs wrapped around a pineapple or maybe stuffed inside a coconut and then cooked might be rather tasty.
