Interesting thread. I’ve played on and off (mostly off) since 2004 and I don’t miss much from the old days. Walking in stations was mildly interesting but didn’t have enough content to be worthwhile. The CSM does more harm than good and should be removed. Good businesses are interested in the opinions of their consumers but do not ask them for strategic direction. I don’t miss players from the past as I’ve primarily soloed on the occasions when I do play. I find a large proportion of the community to be unpleasant a-holes. There are some great people that play but they are a minority and have been since 2004. Eve is a far better game for my intermittent casual play style than it was in the past. The abyss content is pretty good and the triglavian ships look amazing. ---

I need to say that i miss my newbeeness. Back in 2010 the EvE was big, new and scary. I remember my first visit of WH (didn’t end well). I remember first experience of starting in 0.0 where i was scared to move 3 systems away to buy me some stuff… I guess i can never start again… ---

This thread had a brithday on May 19. My posting history makes me sound like a the better old salty vet I am. Thank you for taking the time to read my thread and to contribute – whether we’ve agreed or not. Its my sincere hope that this thread continues to be a reminder that rough edges and imperfect surfaces are more interesting than perfectly optimized systems.
