On some cargo items like Metal Scraps, the Attributes tab has an attribute “Mass”. What does that do, if anything?

i am not aware of any mechanic that cares about metal scraps mass

enough _ship_ mass collapses wormholes, i’d love to know if the mass of a transiting ship’s cargo is counted towards the wormhole mass budget

The “mass” of things in Cargo currently has no effect. Only the mass of installed modules (which can vary by them being active or not) counts. For both your agility and when jumping through wormholes.

Moved this to [New Citizens Q&A - EVE Online Forums](https://forums.eveonline.com/c/new-citizens/12)

Mass generally only is relevant on ship hulls. Items inside of a ship do not affect mass.

It doesn’t.
At least if taking a freighter with a keepstar in it through an xl hole and not having it instantly collapse is any guide.
