# What is the Lore reason for the blueish field inside the ring bit of the Astero, Stratios, and Nestor?

As far as I know, there isn’t anything super comprehensive. The ship description is pretty much the only clue we get, that it has something to do with the ship’s warp core and enables the use of advanced cloaking systems while in warp with little technical cost. This is implied to be different from how the main empires have solved the issues around maintaining cloak during warp with their Covert Ops ships.

Hmm, i was hoping there was a bit more information.

The ring with blueish field inside it looks like a scoop or something.

is there a way that i can request information from the original designers of the ships?
