# What is the safest way to store assets long term?

Ships logged off in wormhole space for approximately 6 months [have been teleported to highsec in the past](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/havent-played-in-a-while-everything-i-left-safely-logged-out-in-a-wormhole-is-now-safely-logged-out-in-high-sec-wtf/255175/6). A GM will move it back to the original location when you return, if you politely ask via support ticket, but aside from periodically logging in, I don’t think it can be avoided in wormhole space.

I don’t recall the specific rationale for this change - just that it is a thing that affects long-term planning for wormholes - especially with regards to mass limits.

No idea if it happens in K-space or Pochven.
