@QuakeGod from your posts, I assume you critizize the stereotypes used for the different races and their background in EVE? While I can understand that, I also think CCP has done a good job of giving all of the factions a storyline that gives them some positive value. Yes, the Minmatars were slaves, but they fought bravely and gained their freedom (for the most part), they succeeded against a far superior military, even against traitors within their own ranks and have now established an own superpower that none of the other empires can hope to defeat easily. They are proud people in current EVE lore, and they can be. On the contrary, the Amarrian history is full of harsh lessons they had to learn about superiority, narcissm and arrogance. And toned down their drive for conquest and crusades a lot, aiming more towards stability and cooperation. Even the disadvantages of having a religiously driven (and thus sometimes very limited) society and economy are part of many stories. So, from a neutral point of view, would it have been the _better_ design decision to, lets say, make the “white” races the slaves and the “dark” races the oppressing religious zealots? Or not having any skin color variations in the game at all? I somehow doubt that. --- _[View the full topic](https://forums.eveonline.com/t/what-real-world-ethnicities-nationalities-etc-are-eves-races-based-on/481627)._
