Why would you give a job to someone who doesn’t knows how to do it? Why would you bother with making your products affordable to people without money? Specially if your product is a basic necessity people can’t do without, like a home, or food? And sooner or later something will give. If the rules say “you’re young, got no job, no money, no home, no partner, we don’t need you”, there are only two logical answers: kill yourself or kill the rules. The Asian youngsters are still in the “kill yourself, maybe?” zone. Western youngsters are in a “amuse yourself to death” zone but looking at extremism as a “stick it to the old man”. But sooner or later they will demand answers. Why the rules say that they already lost by being born later? Who enforces those rules? And why should they abide? Some might fall for the lies of extremism, picking an unsympathetic minority as a scapegoat, rewriting the rules of society and then be victimised by the tyrants they pushed to power. But also some might figure that cooperation among equals is the solution. ---
