So, the Stratios is a… cruiser sized exploration ship? With the Astero, you can field decent enough tank, and be able to run through gatecamps as well as have a quick align. It also kills others explorers decent enough. And then comes the Stratios, which is cruiser sized, meaning it is much bulkier. Bye bye align, goodbye small sig, and farewell slower locks on you. I just don’t get the point, especially when you can also fit a T3C which is a Stratios but better in terms of survivability. What’s the incentive to use this ship instead of a T3C, an Astero or a CovOps? ---

The Stratios is a great ship to hunt wormhole ratters with. Cheaper than a T3 (you’re gonna lose it at some point!) tanky, cloaky, and it has that scanning bonus to help you scan out those wormhole chains. It locks too slow to catch those pesky hacking frigates though. From a PVE perspective, it’s used for some of the low end scannable combat sites, DED 3/10 and 4/10 for example. T3 cruisers aren’t allowed in those. ---

The stratios was my favorite ship in the game for a LONG time. It works great as a hunter. The indy changes have made it WAY to expensive now though. ---
