I preferred the old way, yes. But the new system was fine in terms of function. But horrid in terms of rewards. I want the SKINs back. Evermarks and SKINr junk is equivalent to getting carbon. It’s obvious they know this because that’s why they are now trying to give it value. It may be that they have some future plans for EMs, know it’s just piling up in people’s EM bank and want to reduce it so people don’t have a preexisting surplus when they unveil whatever it is that’s coming. This just seems like a bid to eat up EM for some reason. Or maybe they just can’t admit that nobody cares about their ship cosmetics. Corp emblems are gaudy as heck. Instead of ditching EM or leaving corp emblems as the niche they are, they decided to ruin something else to punish us for not liking/caring about the things they want us to care about. ---

The daily login rewards became illegal in China. I wonder if that had any part in them sort of being removed. ---

i really like the old system. login, claim carrot, enjoy game. now, these opportunities compel you to do stuff you might not enjoy. at least with 8 choices, you had alot of variety. ---

I’m sure the introduction of daily login rewards was to improve the stats that CCP badly needed to present Pearl Abyss reassuring the Asian overlord that he hadn’t blown his money investing in the EVE Online IP and CCP. At the same time, they introduced a new FOMO mechanism for players, even if the rewards were shite. Our brains work in such a way that they struggle to resist this kind of mind trick, so even though many complained, they still logged in every day and picked up the free stuff. I preferred how the mechanism was not there. But since it has appeared, I was fine with the basic version: rewards for logging in and that’s it, no extra daily goals to fill for free EXP or evermarks. ---

Yeah, well - Pandora’s Box has been opened - so there’s no putting that sucker back in. At this point I’d be reasonably happy just seeing this go back to 8 rewards to choose from (screw Evermarks). ---
