In real life sales tax is only levied on added value, not on the transaction itself. The equivalent would be increasing manufacturing isk costs. Anyway I have updated my OP to reflect that I think the broker fees are way more the problem than the transaction fees: > A market order is not a transfer of goods, it is only a form of communication to the other party that you want to buy or sell something. One thing is for sure, Nobody is charging up to 5% just to say you want to buy something without any actual transaction taking place. ---

Because reselling for low margins has always been a cancer for the end consumer when you got 100+ people racing themselves to it. Though Its fun when someone comes with his own stock and supply chain, affording to drive prices down into oblivion just to ■■■■ someone elses low margins. ---

Agreed, Taxes and brokers fees are incredibly high, Its not just day traders getting beat up its everyone, I like to post my stuff for 3 months at a time and it can cost me 20 to 50 million per order, Thats alot of profit for an institution that can’t even protect us from Trigs…what is all the ISK going towards. Like in Real life I’d like to see what these broker fees and taxes go to. ---
