Lol….that’s quite funny. I am sufficiently rich in EVE that I make no financial benefit at all from camping. I leave the loot for others. How nice of me.

I shoot stuff because it gains me experience…ship fittings, tactics, etc. That is worth more than billions of ISK. Oh….and the kills too. Gotta have kills.

Why would people waste time reading your incredibly long ‘argument’ when you didn’t even spend time writing it yourself?

Telling people to stop spamming sadly is not very useful to a discussion indeed, but when others are spamming such a signal can be necessary.

You assume I didn’t spend time writing it, but thats not really true. Also English is not my native language, so sometimes I need a bit more time or help to write things clearly.
In a discussion what matters is the arguments, not how exactly the text was written.
If you disagree with the points, just challenge them. That would help the discussion much more.

I somehow looked through these posts and where do you have these thousands of times, so far I experience a small group of people talking about everything except the topic, go troll somewhere else.

By the way the topic is here, not in xxx topic of this forum, if it doesn’t suit you don’t waste time writing, and even more reading, since all I see are attacks because AI nicely sorted it and corrected all the grammar but the crybabies invent nonsense. Did you read to the end? Congratulations, then make the effort and write something related to the topic.

Good good, you have experience in trolling but you yourself produce gibberish going off the topic, so who would read you when you literally add nothing, actually from what you say it results that why are there hundreds of topics since all of this was already discussed, you see not for me, there are also those for whom it wasn’t.

I think that if you have a personal problem write privately, but that won’t work on a troll.

Increasing EHP often means **significantly increasing the cost of the ship and its fittings** , which ironically makes the eventual loss even more painful. And if you look at killboards, even well-tanked ships die regularly when a determined gank group decides to attack.

You missed an important half of my advice.

What I said was this (I bolded the important bit now):

> fit their ships to have relatively high EHP **and relatively low cargo or fittings value to the point that killing their mining ships and combat ships is not profitable**

New players may not have all of the things you mentioned, but they generally fly cheap ships. Fitting some tank modules is nice, but more important is to **keep their ship loot cheap** , which makes it unprofitable to destroy that ship in a suicide gank.

Easy, and accessible to new players too!

> These are basic gameplay loops. Expecting every single player in this enormous group to remain in a constant state of vigilance and defensive optimization against ganking is unrealistic.

Part of each of those basic gameplay loops is the gameplay loop of **fitting your ship.**

And part of fitting your ship is to determine the dangers you might face, which includes PvP dangers.

There is not a single ship fit I have made where I did not take PvP into account while making it. My miners, haulers, explorers, gas havesting ships and PvE ships… for each of my PvE fits I thought about whether I want to add modules or pick a strategy that makes PvP survival more likely.

Sometimes the entire fit is about surviving PvP (for haulers). For some fits I use some, but other fits I add nothing to my ship to deal with PvP as I find the risks not worth the sacrifices, and decide to have a greedy high dps or yield fit instead of one that can survive being tackled, but that’s still a choice I made as part of my **very basic gameplay loop of making a ship fit**.

_You_ decide how much ISK you risk while flying.

>
> Even a well-prepared target often has **no meaningful opportunity to respond once the gank begins**. A competent gank group will not attack unless they already know the outcome. That is why killboards are full of cases where ships with perfectly reasonable tanks are destroyed in seconds.

The target decides:

- when they present themselves as a profitable target, i.e. with low hitpoints for the amount of loot they carry in modules and cargo
- when they pass through a notorious ganking system like Uedama, and in which ship types
- when they pay no attention to threats in local in advance through scouting or other intel tools
- when they decide to do all that without help from friend(s) to escort them

You have made plenty of choices before you get to the point of being ganked ‘with no meaningful opportunity to respond’. You could have made different choices that led to a different outcome.

You could also decide not to do many of those things, which is a valid choice. I personally haul without escort as well and occasionally load too much cargo value in my ship.

But I do realize that if I do get caught it’s my own damn fault as result of choices I made! 😃

The result would be **larger and more organized gank fleets** , not the disappearance of the activity.

Again, you missed half my advice.

I did not advice to solely ‘increase tank’.

I adviced to ‘increase tank and reduce loot’. Ganking does not get unprofitable by solely increasing tank. On the contrary, once you put expensive tank modules on your ship you might ironically become _more_ worth ganking.

What I said was to increase tank **and reduce the value of your modules and cargo**. Use cheap efficient T2 and meta modules to get a good tank. Minimize the use of bling modules if you don’t really need them, cut cargo in parts so you don’t haul everything at once. Things like that.

If you make your ships unprofitable to gank, there is no way ganking could become ‘more profitable’ by scaling up.

TL;DR: Fit your ships better, it is a core part of this game.

‘Disagreements’ arise over things that are a matter of opinion. When you post things that are simply not true, it is somewhat disingenuous to present opposition as merely ‘disagreement’.

If we make a good-faith effort to pretend like they are all individual people, a very curious overlap between People Who Can’t Protect Their Own Ships and People Who Can’t Write Their Own Posts becomes apparent.

Can they do anything for themselves?

Thank you for the time you spent, I really appreciate it, and sincere respect that you spent some time writing this post and I answered from my own perspective. And yes, you hit the point exactly. This is what some people blindly shoot at by putting everyone into one basket. I wrote my own post, then AI reworked it into a more concrete and structured version. I didn’t think it would cause such outrage, for which I generally apologize. Even for a moment it was not in bad faith, and I will keep this in mind in the future.

I still do not agree with the statement that on a transport ship, for example, I can survive a ganker attack, because no matter how many different fits I try, after a few seconds I just disappear. And those are not only my fits either.

But I realize that the game is very complex. From my perspective it looks like this, and I am not forcing my opinion.

Best regards

Triss, you are a naive noob who jumped into deep water, and bigger fish just swallowed you and put you back in your place 😃 😃
A quick correction and get this into your head quickly:
-every single one of them is a ganker, the better ones mainly fight in null or WH, the rest farm small fry like you. I assume HS, because it’s easy money\
-some of the accounts are alt accounts; you might even be arguing with the same person, mine is an alt too 😉
-[https://zkillboard.com](https://zkillboard.com) – go take a look and see what kind of “badasses” they are; in 80% of cases they kill people in groups
-don’t mouth off too much because people are vengeful, and they will destroy you even in a game; for some of them it borders on mental illness
-when you have more experience you’ll quickly understand that ganking is one of the more profitable activities CCP allows; if someone tells you otherwise, I refer you to zkillboard and their profits
-they will defend their own like “flies defend ■■■■”; you won’t match their experience on this forum for a long time yet
-there is no great philosophy in a gank, and especially no huge skill involved, but it does require a lot of experience; in the past it made more sense, now it is what it is

**understand this** : CCP made the game, they set the rules; ships are meant to be destroyed — either you adapt or find another game

Based on your response I’ll assume good faith and that you are just bad at internet. If you ask ChatGPT to write an essay explaining your thoughts, you will generate a long unhinged rant like you did above, which nobody wants to read because it is AI garbage and readily identifiable as such. If you want to use ChatGPT for writing, then what you should do is write your essay in full (you can use your native language since ChatGPT is fluent) and then ask it to revise and edit. You should ask it to make your writing more concise, not more verbose.

Focus on making your writing clear and more concise.

It’s really more like, “Anyone who struggles against highsec ganking is far below average.”

I thought this implication was clear from contextual clues, but I guess we have a bit of a chicken/egg problem, here.

That’s the truth of it. If you can’t stay alive in Highsec, you’ve got no chance outside of Highsec, so that’s someone failing in the tutorial.

Well, I see no evidence that ‘you’ ( i.e the character you are posting on ) have ever lost a single ship to a gank.

How is it that _all_ the PvP people post on chars they regularly log in as….yet again and again and again the people who complain about ganking post on chars that show no sign of activity for….in your case 13 years. This is not just an isolated thing, its the case 90% of the time.

The point being that there is thus no evidence these people _have_ ever actually been ganked. _Or_ is it that they know their fittings were so awful that they know that would be the first thing pointed out ?

Why come on and complain about ganking….yet do so such that you refuse to let people see the ship and fitting and thus give advice such that you could avoid being ganked ?
